Recorded over several different periods.
Old footage was recorded on July 17 (the first 4 minutes) and on the 23-24 (recorded during late night) and on August 31 (Completing the quest). The new stuff was recorded on 7/7 & 8/24. There was also footage that had no audio on 8/8/23 and 6/7/24.
What a pain in the ass to get all this recorded again. This is the second time this has happened on a female character I made, must be a curse lol. The reason for the huge gap in recordings was IRL stuff going on and a lack of motivation to play Pirate (Pretty sure I wrote this last sentence from 2023 lol). The parts I had the most trouble getting were that final fight against Hunan and meeting the first Khan.
Apparently this quest is a bit glitchy cause you can get dialogue or complete certain goals from going near the two Khan lord towers in whatever order.
As for the promo quest itself, very cool storyline I love learning about the Khans but man its like jam packed with defeat 8 of different enemy types so there`s lots of cuts. The Batu and Guyuk guys took only 2 battles each, Jade Fleet took 9 battles no broadside, Dragons took 6 and the ghosts took 4 battles. Also for the ghost battles the archers for some reason don`t count towards 8, you gotta fight the melee units.

The wait is finally over, this was the last companion promotion video that I still needed to do. Thank you guys for being patient. This was a pain in the ass lol. Had to do this quest 3 times on this one character (2nd time this happened on a girl character, must be cursed lol) so if things look inconsistent then that`s the reason why. The main reason is because of my recording not having audio despite the footage instead coming out fine. Let me tell you guys there`s nothing more frustrating than fighting the last boss of the quest (6 minutes of footage with dialogue from when you enter and when you defeat the boss) and your laptop shuts down so when log in the game completes the fight for you and you can`t repeat the fight (or it has no audio). Another reason why I had to do that in the first place is because of how glitchy this quest is, certain goals would activate regardless of whether I was there or not. The dialogue you get from Subdoai from when you reach Khan Batu`s tower can activate if you go near Khan Guyuk`s tower for some reason. Recently when I was rerecording the footage for the third time I found another one. As soon as you exit Batu`s tower the game thinks you already arrived at the Guyuk tower and gives you the defeat 8 goal. Link for that is right here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gneZsbSxcraofqg.html
Here it is; I respect the effort to show all the quest goals, even though that required multiple cuts. I found it interesting that you fight the Batu and Guyuk Barbarians outside the hall - normally these quests would have you go into the hall for a promotion specific battle. On that note, despite all the battles of this questline, only Hunan actually forces the use of Subodai, even though all these things are tasks specifically for him. I personally replicated the effect by swapping to Firstmate only during promotion quests, just so said companion always featured.

Yeah that`s something I did notice, missed opportunity but whatever. He definitely should have been in the outside khan hall fights but I guess since it wasn`t a specific instance inside a building then he isn`t programed to be in those battles. That`s probably why he doesn`t show up automatically since most of the battles involve fighting mobs in an outside area that any player can fight.

I'd vote for Subodai to be the new Great Khan. He'd turn the Amber Horde into a force for good. But I'm glad he chose to stay with his captain.
