This is truly sad pirate fm was a great radio station not local from Cornwall but when I was on holiday down in Cornwall I would always listen to pirate fm sadly where I’m from Norwich we lost are local radio a few years ago radio Norwich 99.9 thanks to it becoming greatest hits radio Norfolk and Suffolk local radio is being killed off and it’s sad to see

Wave 105 went the same way....

There were not enough Pirates listening to it .

Exactly the same happened to Wave 105 (I think it was the sister station to Pirate FM) in March, Greatest Hits radio is truly awful. Apparently the local radio business model is dead, which is BS, Wave covered Hampshire & Dorset with around half million listeners and growing.

Just think Pirate FM goes out in history as it starts off with a Day and ends with a Day. Roger Day to begin with then ends with Holly Day. Out of the two which one is better looking 🤣 but which one is more talented
