Piranha Feeding Frenzy: Live Feeding of Iridescent Shark Prey with Impressive Attack Strategies

You made my day by leaving a "Like". Thank you ❤️
The iridescent shark, iridescent shark catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) is a species of shark catfish (family Pangasiidae)
Piranhas primarily inhabit South American rivers and lakes and are not typically found in the same habitats as iridescent sharks, which are native to Southeast Asia. As a result, piranhas do not have specific strategies or adaptations for hunting iridescent sharks.
However, if we were to speculate on hypothetical encounters between piranhas and iridescent sharks, it's important to note that iridescent sharks can grow much larger than piranhas and have a different feeding behavior. Iridescent sharks are primarily filter feeders, feeding on small organisms and plant matter by sifting through water or grazing on algae.
Piranhas, on the other hand, are known for their sharp teeth and aggressive feeding behavior, primarily targeting smaller fish or injured animals. If they were to encounter an iridescent shark, which is considerably larger and has a different feeding strategy, it is unlikely that piranhas would pose a significant threat to the iridescent shark.
It's important to remember that piranhas and iridescent sharks inhabit different regions and ecosystems, so their interactions in the wild would be highly unlikely.
So on this video, i hope we learn what we need to learn from it.
Thank you!

Obviously the fish going in with them had some body parasites and wasnt very strong to begin with, was a bit crazy watching its swim bladder leaking air and its nervous system kept control of all but what was gone. Would have been interesting to see how they finished it off do they all gather round to keep it in one place while they eat together? Natural process in an unnatural setting yes although not something that many get to see as it happens live. I made the mistake if adding a Striped Dora to a community tank, within a few days there was only itself, the Zebra Danios and a couple other bigger fish left lol.

Another human is angry at the act and then puts those same terrorizing fishes lives in danger by taking them out of the water to suffocate. And as The Old Testament of the HOLY BIBLE KJV (King James Version) says from The Old Testament God: “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”

You watched a live feeding video, and predators might like it better if they can eat their prey alive. I know you feel bad for the shark, but remember. The predator’s gotta eat too.

As we like to keep predatory fish, also we need to care our pets to stay sharp and stimulating their instinct. I think it happens to all pets not just only fish.

It can be quite startling to witness the resilience of animals in such situations. Nature often showcases incredible survival instincts, even in challenging circumstances. I strive to showcase the natural behaviors of predators like piranhas while being mindful of the impact on other species. It's a testament to the adaptability and strength of these creatures. Your observation underscores the incredible abilities animals possess, even in the face of adversity.

I agree. It doesn't look very healthy in the first place. It seems like it would be more of an act of kindness...end the suffering. It's sad, yeah, but watching a fish suffer is sad too.

The feed fish was already unwell and weak, this is exactly what nature would have had happen. Its own tank mates would have done the same to a weaker mate, this was probably faster and more humane than being eaten slower by less able fish in its own tank.

@@lucid719Well, I think this fish channel needs more entertaining videos, just like your channel. I stumbled upon a 1-hour gameplay video with 33 views, where you were trying to share some fun! Watching it felt like diving into a pixelated abyss in the Jurassic Age. Perhaps the CIA has purchased a video license from you to torture prisoners.
