Great video. Have been searching for this! Thanks
Very informative.. Thanks
Thank you
Please keep making these videos
Hello sir. Where did you get the recommended gas velocity? does this apply to compressed air too?
its a saver thanks
battling with how you got 0.01184 for 1/2'' NPS Schedule 160 and 0.0207 for 1''
For 3/4 NPS SCH160 , Gas velocity is 24 m/s. Therefore pipe size is also recommended.

What is the inner diameter ?
may i know how to get 120 Nm3/hr in velocity of gas ? or it is assumption ?
What is 0.1 in formula, Also What is 273.15 in denominator?
Hello, great video but why use the minimum operating pressure?
Recommended velocity less than 25 m/s? How the value is taken?
Thanks very much. What about natural gas with mixture component c1, c2, c4, c5, h2s..@ high pressure for example 15~24 bar

You can use same method
Gas velocity ~ 16, 3/4" is also recommended for this application

Thank you so much. But where does 273.15 and 0.1 came from?

I just found 273.15 is absolute zero. What about 0.1 value sir?

@@LeeeJim it is related to the pressure. The original formula for normal volume flow rate and actual volume flow rate is (normal means at 273.15 kelvin and approx 100 000 pascal): Q = Q0 * (Z * T * p0) / ( Z0 * T0 * p) Z and Z: are compressibility and normal compressibility, not considered in this video The 0.1 in the formula (in the video) is due to p being in MPa and to p0 not being explicitly included in the formula.

@@LeeeJim 1 atm. From combined gas law.
Why does "in general" the gas velocity should be under 40 m/s? Laminar/turbulent flow? It is very far from the speed of sound that might cause any sort of undesirable effects

Noise and pipe erosion. Pressure drop is also usually too much. Actually for a more optimum economy for long distances, 20 to 30m/s is even better.
please what is the name of the actual flow rate equation
