Thanks for the videos. I went through the same procedure as you but didn't have the manual. Reset processor and away it went. Had 23 DC offset errors

I watched the previous video as well and commented that I hoped it was just replacing a resistor, but this is so much better. YOU FIXED MY RECEIVER! Thank you so much. Really can't thank you enough. Cheers from across the pond! Oh, and why not leave the event log uncleared? What would that hurt?

Hey, glad you enjoy watching these and could get some benefit from it. Clearing the event log just means you don't have to remember how many events prior to work out the issue if it faults again. If you know you started at 0 then one up is your answer.

waah cant imagine the hustle in the first video! anyway this is great revelation. I have a problem with my vsx324 nothing gives out sound in A mode (Tuner A, DVD A, CD A.....) but all digital inputs are fine, HDMI, OPTICAL , COAXIAL. so i cant even listen to fm stations and also cant hook external fm receiver! Can someone help please

I was just about to reply on your first issue with this fix. My display still doesn't work. Let me know if you know anything about that. I've tested the display on another unit and it works, so it's not a hardware issue on that side of things

If everything functions ok and it's just no display I would start by checking that the power supply to it is working especially the -30V line.

@@JonnyFix I found the 5v hdmi line is absent. I did have a reference then they both started doing the same thing. If you're interested, I'll let you know what I find

I didn't have my boards mounted to the rear cover. It states that if you run the unit without the grounding attached correctly, there can be damage done to a particular device. Somehow i don't think that's my issue, but a possibility. I believe the main MCU isn't putting out data for the display. A lot of info available online but probably beyond me at this point. Might come back to it when i have a bit more experience

So I had the same issue, but when I press Adv Surround and power it comes on for like 4 seconds then shuts off again. No other combinations for reset or diagnostics work! Hard to find a solution or simply find the cause but I suppose I can test the jacks in the back with multimeter.

What about when you turn it on normally? Does it stay on? If not I'd guess you have a power supply issue or problem relating to the processor or standby control related circuit.

@@JonnyFix so if I just press the power button to turn it on normally nothing happens. When it happened the very first time, I had everything plugged in and powered it on then it shut off 4 seconds later. Since then I’ve unplugged everything and now it only responds with the Adv Surround + Power combination, which it then just shuts off again.

@@kevinthompsonmusic1435 Yeah the fact it doesn't stay on I can only still guess maybe power rail issue unable to support processor function, or something along the lines of processor function, corrupt firmware, damaged processor etc. Only option would be to get service manual and go over everything.

I have the same issue. Turns off after 4 sec with a click sound. Did you find any fix?

In Palmy by the way.

What ridiculous firmware. Designed to protect the unit from faults but effectively trashes it. How hard would it have been to have it display the fault from the get go complete with reset instructions. Clearly built to impoverish the owner and boost the authorised service centre business.

All other brands I've seen have still turned on which is why it didn't cross my mind
