It makes me smile seeing people from around the world having fun with the little Pinz from Austria. Grüß Gott aus Wien.

@Gruntphuttock Apparently the reason for them being discontinued is because the British Army were complaining that they are not safe for operation in Iraq and Afghanistan because they are vulnerable to IEDs, etc even after having armour upgrades. It does not stop them from being one of the best offroaders in the world and I imagine the armour upgrades would have put a lot of extra weight on it thus effecting its offroad capability.

Take a look at the toureg and fj cruiser in the background. "So, what am i suppose to do?" Haha, although I deeply respect both of them don't think I would go to length and scratch them. That's the truth, new cars are just too new, get em while they're rustin!

Not at all, I've been in a few crawlers in my time riding shotgun obviously. I love being precariously perched on the edge.

I was discussing where they're made, not their origins. And if you watch Top Gear vs D-Motor, you'll see country of origin is up for debate too these days. :D

Doesn't BAE have an interest in it as well? I could've sworn these were built in the UK too.

Sorry for the late reply. Bae bought the rights to build it, so you are right, they were built in the UK. Sadly production has stopped.
