Any pose can look dynamic if you illustrate it right. Stiff portraits are a sign of someone skipping the basics (like anatomy) and jumping into full pieces before they're ready. Same issue applies to tattoos.

Well divorce used to not be as acceptable even 50 years ago. If you got married you learned to damn well put up with eachother. I think we get married without treating it as much of a proper commitment now.

@@hanselking6615 The fact that divorce was harder to achieve and far less accepted back then resulted in many people staying in abusive relationships, so maybe don't hail it as something that was better "back then." The fact that divorce is more accessible today is good because it allows people to escape toxic situations; it doesn't inherently mean that people somehow value the committment less. The majority of divorces after the rules around it changed were from older couples from the time period you're romanticizing.

I don't think getting a pin up of your SO is a good idea. It's kinda like a name except if you break up instead of a name it's a sexy picture of your ex. It just doesn't seem smart.

I mean everybody looks different sure, but there are many out there who looks similar, so if they were to break up very few changes could make it look like a new person. Like adding longer hair, etc Still agree its not the best idea but getting a tattoo of a woman is much better than getting a name

@@Chichitodelavida , he did have the worst canvas, but if he had knocked it out it would've been a huge advantage showing he could do that type of skin. Older people's skin is like parchment paper when it comes to tattooing unless they've kept up with themselves and the area. I don't think the area chosen was all too bad to be tattooing though...

The problem with this series on youtube: 1. We don't get to see the judge's critique. 2. The behaviour of the artists towards each other and the canvases is disgusting most of the time. 3. Video clips are too short to enjoy.

1, they’re previews. You want the full thing? Pay for it. 2. People used to be very selective on who they let become their apprentice because they didn’t want people to open up a shop down the road. Tattooing is the ultimate competition because you’re working to create your own brand, and every dollar you make is on you. So why would you be ok with someone stealing your business? 3. Gia is a good tattoo artist but in some rounds didn’t do her best... but choosing Boneface to stay instead of Gia isn’t a good idea. Boneface was worse than Gia.

That's not the context she was saying it in. She meant she let the other girl have the easier tattoo because she had not done well in past challanges. So to help the girl have a chance to be safe from elimination she didn't go for the tattoo she would have wanted. She "took one for the team" by going with a different tattoo which helped her teammate out.

The thing is with pinups is that if the person changes (weight,hair, looks in general) it will look weird or like a completely different person. Also if you break up it’s harder to cover up compared to something like a name

Fun fact: bone faces tattoo was done on my sister and she wasn’t all to excited about it when it was done

If these guys really tattooed the full 6 hours (or 5 or minus however much time it takes for a specific artist to draw and stencil) for these elimination tattoos, and since the average shop charges $100/hr, (and though I'm certain some artists finish very early despite how the show depicts it) these tattoos could cost about $600, give or take. I would NOT even pay $10 for most of these. LOL

This is my opinion but why the hell would you get a realistic photo of a person? I mean sure they have guide lines but what about the colors and shades, every person is different and a tattoo is permanent (unless u get it removed which is a long process) if they mess up there’s no “whoops sorry” I’m sorry I just dont get it

A pinup of your significant other is just as bad as their name being tattooed on you. You break up or divorce, you're stuck with your ex on you, whether it's a name or pinup.

I actually thought nate or mike would be leaving. I didn't think the winner was the correct choice, his looked too flat with a simple outline and some generic color.
