I have a question can I use a username in my business Pinterest account and not my real name?

@@myrenesolis5143 hi, I am using several different names for my business, and I have thought and researched a ton about how I wanted to use my business name and my username (note my username is like a nickname I use online & wanted it connected - i can explain if you want to know how I did mine & why w a few biz account names) So it sounds like you’re asking how you go about using your name, a business name, etc. online AND beyond…. SMALL BIZ LICENSE: SOLE PROPRIETOR License + filing FBN/DBA so YES you can use your username instead of your name. this is because you would be using it like how a writer has a pen name which is different from their real name. It’s something that they want to be known as, but they can also conduct business under primarily for finances, and tax purposes, and TM etc. I think more & more ppl are using usernames as biz names or like ‘pen names’. So I RECCOMMEND >>> 1: file a local business license (a Sole Proprietorship license - an SP) which allows you to have bank accts, file tax income/losses, financials etc. tmk its all generally the same, but is done locally (per city courthouse ~ pay yearly not much) 2: And when you file for a your SP License, you will ALSO file your biz name under a DBA/FBN [fictitious business name/doing business as] because the sole proprietorship defaults to your legal name as your business name. (but you can file as many DBA/FBN as you want for small fee each) >>> so IMO you should add your username as a second DBA to your primary business name if you want to be known by your username & not your real name. Setting up your socials is up to you though I recommend the username be whatever name you want to be known under if you are an artist, writer, etc. in addition to another business name. hope this makes sense. There's really good advice in this video! I totally understand where you're coming from about not wasting time on pins that are just going to get saves and not click-throughs, BUT there is a big importance to those types of pins. They help grow your Pinterest account, which eventually grows your business by reaching even more people! Pinterest loves saves 😊. So I still suggest making those saveable pins even though they don't get many clicks 🤷‍♀️. Thanks for the great video!

I feel like I'm doing pretty much of all this. I've only been doing this a week, 500 impressions and a few outbound clicks. It's taking me a while to wrap my head around the design and process of things, but I'm getting there. I really like the "billboard" concept of the pins. I already thought to myself before watching this video, "how do you stop and get someone click? You need to give them a reason to." Spot on. Of the sea of endless pins they do scroll through, you need to address a pain point in the pin in some way, and lead them to the solution on your website. I will keep pushing. I really dislike looking at the analytics everyday as that is not helpful or healthy, because then you start to overthink everything. I think the best thing I can do moving forward is to just enjoy the process, focus on creating quality pins, and eventually the results will follow. It's slow in the beginning for sure but I really want to stick with this for 6 months, then see where I'm at.

I was in the same mindset, then I started learning SEO, took a copywriting course and another course on blogging combined the three and just got started. You can use AI to help with copywriting, but you shouldn’t solely rely on a AI generated content, but it’s very good for idea generation. I started by creating buying guides for some of my premium products. One thing I’ve learnt that isn’t often talked about is website domain authority. Having a good website domain authority makes a massive difference to your traffic not only from Pinterest, but other search engines too. I’m now totally focussed on creating click worthy shareable content that improves my topical authority, creates organic backlinks, which organically increases my websites domain authority. It’s a lot to learn, but the skills are invaluable.

Hi Katie, I have a doubt. Can we pin to multiple boards. If so how much boards and at what interval? If we are creating 5 pins for a blog post and scheduling it to two boards then 10 pins for the blog post. How can I space out and schedule all the 15 pins. Can you tell the workflow?

Katie I have been posting my christian apparel pins with Canva. Also a pinterest rep told me to do lifestyle videos of my clothing. So far all my pins have gotten me 70 followers in 3 months, and 1.8 millions views. The saves and clicks are relevant to grow your business free. I do intend to advertise eventually. Hey Ella, yes of course - So I think sharing the one or other pin in a community that is really active is great. But since you also have to share other people's pins I wouldn't just focus on communities. Like in my opinion your best bet is still on sharing mostly your own pins and then working on your SEO so those pins show up when people search for them. :) Let me know if that makes sense.

Hi Katie, thank you so much for your videos ! I started to reconsider my strategy as I have in average 60k impressions over 30 days but they only lead to approximately 80 outbound clics... In your opinion, is there a reasonnable outbound clic rate that should be targeted ? I guess It depends on one's niche but I'd like to know if my results are bad or normal.

@@VegBuffet no, not really... I assume that every pinterest coaches on youtube explain how it works well for blogs and articles that actually solve someone's problem : the engagement is great. I sell handmade products that I make, I guess I don't save anyone's life with those... so the engagement is lower (or else I really suck at creating pins, which is possible...)
