Did you see the Mine? Way back in the day there were buildings and a outhouse. Should be a old truck and bulldozer, axles and other stuff. Close to the river is a cable setup they used to off load the Uranium ore out onto boats. I believe the old machine you asked about was used to pull carts of ore out of the main mine? I do know one thing! The men that worked these mines and built these trails to get there, were tougher then tough.

I'm so proud of her. She keeps taking on harder and harder trails. I get to kick back, fly the drones, and enjoy the massive smile on her face.

That piece of equipment looks like an old air compressor, and the drone footage is amazing along with the trail !

I was gonna say... has to be a compressor for the mining equipment.

Kerry, you do such a great job with not only the video footage but your narration is second to none. I believe this is one trail I’m going to pass on!

Thank you. We put a lot of effort into the trail videos and we think that our "live" narration helps to bring out the excitement, thrills, awe, and sometimes scares that we are going through versus other channels that record the voiceover often weeks after they did the filming. This is a fantastic trail, but damn, those trees!! If they get it trimmed back (which would be a monumental effort), then you should add it back to your bucket list.

GREAT drone footage especially at the end. Of course the entire video is very good. I'm just curious though am I going to get any pinstripes if I do that trail?

There's already a trail there I wonder why they won't allow some trail maintenance for the sides? Just trim those bushes and it'a all good. Pinstriping if not needed is not some kind of rite of passage is it?

You can certainly choose not to go on trails that are sure to leave their mark and I certainly don’t hold it against anyone. The reality though is that it’s probably unavoidable in the long run because you just never know what you might run into. Trees and bushes grow unpredictably and some trails don’t get much maintenance. Hey Joe is so bad right now that you can’t just take a few guys and machetes down there to clean it up. It would take a large crew and many truckloads quite a while.

Hey Joe was closed for a while to Jeep/ SUV’s because of washouts and overgrowth

@@TrailTraveler I don't think it would take much for a crew to push back some of that brush. I mean they do trail maintenance on the actual ground so I don't see what difference it would make to get a crew to do trail maintenance on the sides when the growth becomes too much.

@@NigelNaughton There is literally miles of overgrowth right now. They would either have to haul it out or get permission to burn it down in the canyon. It would be a MASSIVE amount of material to deal with.

@@TrailTraveler burn it....burn it all!!!! ;-). I can bring one of those chipper/shredders and provide some good organic mulch to the soil. I mean c'mon man, we put a man on the moon we can do this. . haha
