Man that brings back fun memories from back in the day . we had a pretty good course set up in the 5 acres we lived on and I had a 1979 yz 250 , my neighbor had a new 1985 yz125 , I bought my little bro an exceptionally strong running 1982 yz 80 , my older bro had a 1977 rm 250 , and another guy up the street had a 79 yz 400 . we had a wide ditch that ended up creating a really high flying jump that would catapult us way high in the air if you hit it in 3rd gear on the throttle . The first time I flew , I was freaking out and then it became addictive . nobody else would hit that jump like I would , I wanted as much air as I could get . we used to line up and race for 10 laps , none of us were experienced racers , just doing it for fun . I loved watching you take your time and then just letting em hang and showing them how it's done , makes me miss my bike !

A CR500 is a uniquely different animal that has it’s own unique character compared to any other bike I have ever owned! Just when you think you have mastered it, it will sit you on your arse just as quick to show you who is boss! You will never tame it or fully control it as it will always be the ‘boss’ of you! Just starting the beast takes balls and determination and once you start it, people come from all around, drawn by the unique sound of the ‘King of Ping!’ No wonder they keep going up in value as they will never build a bike like this again!

Wow I sure did love my 94 CR 250 so I can’t imagine how sweet the 500 would have been to ride
Either that sand is quite loose or that clutch is slipping! Hes moving no doubt but that's not normal 500 power!

Look at the bikes in front of him. The sand is loose as hell.

You have no idea what you are talking about. I suggest you get a 500 and ride a track like this. You are expecting it to sound like a 125.
Nice riding, it takes a lot of strength and stamina to ride a 500cc hard and you made it look easy.
Putting in work bro! Badass
Totally picked up the pace once you made the pass.
Nice riding. You can really tell when you turned it on and put them behind you. Exceptional skills.
Got arm pump just watching this guy. Awesome vid
I love the 90's!

I miss the 90s :(
all respect for driving 500 2stroke like that good joob
Use to ride a '95 CR500 that track is better for 80cc to 250's , would've been nice to see you on a track more suitable for a CR500 powerband WFO eating up terrain 🤘
Old papa honda still leaving the new dirties in a dirt cloud. Amazing stuff.
riding starts at 3:27
you were just toying with those two out in front!
Great ride great sounds
I rode my CR500 just for fun back in the day. I also raced a few races. I could have easily been in the lead in the first corner against all the 250s, but held back because I knew the other riders were better/faster than me. I just raced my race, and never came in last. I just had fun :) I´ve never been the " Siegertyp", / gotta win guy. I just enjoyed riding the mighty CR500!
Must have been playing possum for those first few laps, or just got sick of the steady roosting lol. Amazing video
Holy hell bro you really let the legs loose once you left those other bikes 3 area codes behind!!!!
Best cr500 vid Ive seen and the rider knows how to ride the brama bull...
Well done, you tamed the beast.
Dude ridin' that scooter like he stole it - awesome job!
Really nice dude!!!!
. Looked close at the start but Unleashing the BEAST is not for the faint Hearted. Well done.
Big Balls. They are beasts... you're just along for the ride
Awesome....Totally awesome!
Simple simple lovely. Bet the arm pump was unreal lol
Fuck! My old ass misses flying a CR500. Thank you for this
Good Job, those old beasts can be the spawn of the devil
I felt that one .. good ride!
Hey have you ever hear of the pro design super cooler for this beast if so does it work good
Yo man I just got arm pump listening to that beast idle!
My arms hurt watching this!
INSANE! NICE SKILLS
You were PULLIN IT AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME
Just cool. Balls on the tank.
That thing is beastly
Very nice🏁2T5oocc. I wonder about the roooost 💨💥💨💥💨💥 albiet the little bikes were fast and ferocious...
You know you are on a 500 when you clear the jump on over run 🤘🏼😂😂🔥. Hats off the rider has been behind them bars before

Cudos... that's why I commented. If you come up short on a 500, yiu better check the connection between your wrist and brain (or balls)!
This man definitely knows how to ride!!
Robbie Knievel used a CR500 as one of his main jumping bikes! Just donated a signed one to the Ken Kaplan motorcycle museum.
Now that’s a rider !!!!!
Great ride you wrung it out
I HAD CR 500 VERY FAST BIKE. I DID A WHEELY . AND MOTOR HIT A ROCK WHEN FRONT TIRE CAME DOWN. AND PUT A HOLE IN MOTOR . DID NOT KNOW IT AND THAT TOOK CARE OF THAT BIKE. AWSOME BIKE TO OLD TO RIDE THEM NOW. BUT DAME I MISS IT,
I have a 03 CR 250 to ride occasionally to relive my youth. Got to respect fast bikes. I can remember when they let the open bikes go first on a staggered start. 500's put a lot of roost up trying to pass. A motos were 20 minutes
That's gotta be the coolest water truck at a track I've seen lmao
If you had the 85 model year in good running condition, you would have blown all of them away from the beginning. It's much faster than the 94.
Pretty to watch.
Legend has it he has a tattoo of an anchor on his forearm..beast
it must bring a smile to your face ripping it like that infront of your family and having them say good job
Awesome vid! I just wish the cam angle was a tad higher - kept tilting my phone down and grinding my teeth! 😁👍😎🇺🇸🍿🍿
Did u ever get out of 3rd? I remember racing one and I thought if die when I got to 4th
Fuckin best video ive seen all year
Damn, how long is this gonna take?!
2:20 the wild 2 strokes perform a mating call
You da man
Takes an incredible amount of strength and stamina to moto a 500 even on that B CLASS track .....lol how many more laps did you have in ya?
Is s cr500 a good first bike?
You let those guys rooster your face off with those bikes? Took you long enough to pass them. What's the world coming to? Dude, for gods sake you are on 500 those guys looked like they were riding smaller bikes. Just kidding with you, great ride and beautiful sound on that beast. I have the 87 long live these great machines.

GDV thinkin the same i figured a CR500 would SMOKE the others. They look like 250’s. Must be a beginners rider. That’s cool, gotta start somewhere.

@@tec61 A KTM 250 should turn faster lap times than that 500, no? Bcs/ the power is still plenty there, even for pros, and lighter and handling >

Tony Yayo On a fairy small track DEFINITELY. the bigger tracks the 500 would probably beat it just because there’s more room to use the power. Has a lot to do with the rider to.
