With season 14 Riot reworked mage items. There are new better options, with huge cdr (cooldown reduction) and burn, better for Shaco. Also Zhonya cost 3000 gold instead of 2600, had the cdr remowed and got increased ap damage. But since Shaco has 12% magic damage scale on his W and 10% on ult, can't really use that increased damage from Zhonya. The new build path is also weird, Needlessly Large Rod is a very expensive item.
