Yeah, it captures the etherial quality of the original superbly. Where there are (pretty slight) divergences from Floyd's version they're not inferior ....... possibly a couple in the vocal section around the 8 minute + mark ar a fractional enhancement! I've seen the *real* Pink Floyd (and Aussie Floyd who are brilliant too) and I just can't complement this outfit highly enough. They are excellent.

Definitely, I agree. I saw the "genuine" outfit in 1972 and was hooked for life. These guys are performing a wonderful tribute here.

Atom Heart Mother isn’t given enough appreciation! Let’s not forget composer Ron Geesin’s contribution in the fiendishly hard orchestral parts. This must have been a blast to play - phenomenally good version.

The best Floyd cover on KZread, no questions

Considering that this piece is in my top 5 pieces of music ever made, I have pretty high demands for how it's done. And this really is amazing. The only weak point was the brass section, who weren't quite in tune in the beginning, but they got it together towards the end. In every other way this is absolutely the best cover of this piece I've ever seen, and I mean that in every way. The staging was imaginative, beautiful, and appropriate. The photography worked with the band and the staging, to create something really awe inspiring. I appreciate the guitarist sticking to Gilmour's notes. I see this as a classical piece and those notes are important, not just jamming. The solo vocalist was put in a very difficult position, having to sustain both quality and attention on her own, without a full choir. She handled it beautifully and her vocals were by far the best on any cover. In fact, considering holding the whole thing up on her own, it's better than the album. Flawless, really. The band, by being true to the music, were also flawless, and did the best of any version I've heard. They took the piece seriously. I can't stress how important that is, it's respect. The end section of Funky Dung- and importantly, the drum break coming out of it- were flawless. And I've never seen that done properly before, by the band or by any version with Geesin, who deserves equal credit with the band for the creation of this. The end, with the choir behind the band, the vista in the background, was for me, literally breathtaking. Last night I watched several versions of the piece being performed live by different people in different settings. This was the best. Thanks for taking this seriously, treating it with the respect it deserves, and creating a true piece of art in performance, staging, and photography. If I've been too wordy in my praise, I can just say, I almost never do that. In this case, it's deserved. Well done.

I rarely write comments, but I am so glad that I stumbled across this today, it was brilliantly performed and captured on film.

I still can’t get my head around why the band Pink Floyd never liked this album. It’s simply #beautiful in every way & #remarkable that evokes imagery in the listener's mind. Good job here by Pink Tones by bringing the full orchestra out here in the middle of medieval and playing the music so passionately

Angela Cervantes flawlessly nailed it, to me, by far the best rendition to this classic song of Pink Floyd, her voice is so smooth from high to low pitch without breaking & she is beautiful. Her renditioned of The Great on the same venue was so fantistic, to me also the best cover. Good Job Angela ! ! !

Angela Cervantes made me feel like I was out of this world. Her voice in this live concert really amazed me. The cover is just a masterpiece.

This video just happened to pop up at random in my suggestions, but I'm so glad it did-wow. Again, wow. I'm thrilled at how much this resembles Live at Pompeii visually, but theatrically, you guys made it your own. Love the costumes for the singers, top notch production, a stellar mix... what kind of black magic did you all have to perform to get it to sound this good?! Your guitarist's tone and phrasing perfectly resembles the fuzz/pre-Big Muff era Gilmour. And the female vocalist delivered a stunningly beautiful performance. Absolutely incredible. I could go on and on, but instead I'll just sum it all up in two sentences: I really loved this. Thank you.

I love the "solo" of vocals starting at 6:00. Always get goosebumps and can't help but smile especially when the other instruments kick in around 8:00

She and the guitarist really stand out. The horns are a bit off but I give them a pass bc outside is tough to pull off. Love all the vocalists though. Angela really steals the show with the outfit and voice out front

That's far more than a tribute band. That's a serious classical performance deserving any large city theater.

There is not a better recorded version of this anywhere.... This is the holy grail of this piece of music...That is something to be very proud of, considering the competition is Pink Floyd.... Deepest respect.

Angela Cervantez's voice is so amazing! I was so stunned by her powerful voice. You can listen to another PF song cover "the Great Gig in the Sky" sung by this female vocalist and you will see what I mean.

Far and away the best version of this song on KZread. There are some other valiant efforts out there but often they are let down by the intonation of the brass or strings or singers - or they don't have the real instruments anyway.

This is awesome! The performance, the setting and the extraordinary effort to recreate a very challenging classic masterpiece from the Floyd. This is one of the few covers that I think is more enjoyable than the original, and I'm an Atom head. Loved the singers and costumes as well. I know the Floyd don't regard this album as one of their favorites, but it is one of mine. Pink Tones has more than done it justice. From now on, this will be my favorite rendition of Atom Heart Mother. Sacrilege, I know, but sometimes the original can be improved. This is just incredible.

Pink Floyd is a musical light that has descended from the heavens upon my soul since my teen years. That's half a century ago.The light still shines.

When I was growing up as a teenager in the 90s I always heard musician friends saying Atom heart mother was sublime but it never hit me like other Floyd music. Your version and performance tho, has made me go to revisit the track. I was transported to the ancient greek theater (great edit, direction and atmosphere) with music that sounds like the soundtrack of the creation. Wonderfully done! I will keep watching this over and over in my life. Priceless

Just look at the comments... I have watched this clip nearly every day for 2 years, several times a day sometimes... my Six year old Autistic son absolutely adores this song, and will come running from wherever he is when I put it on. Thank You all so much for the stunning and inspiring rendition of this amazingly underrated masterpiece. I can not even recall when I last was into a song or musical score, as much as am into this. The improvement to my sons difficult life has been immeasurable, and I want you to know that... this song makes him more excited and happy, than any other song... he does love Echoes live at Albert Hall too... so he has impeccable taste in music.

Absolutely wonderful! I was fortunate to see the one of the original performances by the Floyd at Bath Festival in 1970 and again , in concert at Sheffield City Hall around Christmas time the same year - both with orchestra and choir and motorcycleIII This brings back some very happy memories.
