Getting old is so strange a person cannot relate unless they experience it themselves. In your mind you are the same person over time, but everyone else is aging and dying. You even recognize the point where you can actually see the exit ramp coming up. Also strange how this music seems to suspend time by providing an experience no different than when first heard over 40 years ago. Thanks, this hit the spot.

Amazing for me to thing that this album was released halfway between my Army training and my marriage. Now 70 years young, I am listening to this from my hospital bed and will be listening to Pink Floyd for the rest of the day. Magical, unique, timeless music that I can now share with my grandchildren...and so the wheel of time turns.

Kewell, but remember LSD is what turned Syd Barrett into an institutionalized, drooling, jelly-head, that can't string a simple coherent sentence together. I'm not saying never do it, just don't over-do it, as each time that you do do it, you burn up several thousand brain cells and neurons that you can't replace. Happy trails,...trip.
Pink Floyd has their own sound and you can't go wrong with a Pink Floyd tune
I always miss Beth. She was my first love. I ruined everything by not really knowing myself. I spent years of my life growing up learning how to be a bad person. They changed me when I lost their love. After that I began to really feel it and know I was hurt. Only after a few years of going through terrible depression and wanting to end things did I really get to a point where I could talk about what happened to me with a therapist. Since then I've spent more years re-discovering myself and who I really am. I realized that I was never actually happy until I was doing something in my life that I was happy with and enjoying for myself. The only thing that hurts in getting better over the years is that I wish so badly that they could know me now. I don't really have it in me to fully go back. I lost the love of my life, but they'll never really understand that. I wish they were here. Even so, I still told them I care about them deeply and am a better person today because of them. I can be happy knowing that I am able to even do that. Much love to all of you folks.

This record is magic. I had one tape in my 67 VW bug when I drove from N Cal to Oklahoma City in 1982, and back again in 1983. Then I played this tape every time I flew anywhere, I would start the tape just as the wheels left the ground. I played it at the tops of mountains or on hiking trails or deep in caves. I road my bike around Yosemite Valley floor at night under a full moon. I wish I was in that good of shape now. I wore out the tape after a few years, like my body is. But this music is still magical as ever.
Amazing... Amazingly.. Always Will Be... Love My Son.... Will... Passed away in 98. Age 14. SAD. We had Good Days. My Prayers Daily, when I Look Up To The Universe. AMEN. .

Late 70's in Phoenix, Arizona. No body lead off for them. Just Pink Floyd, with huge speakers on the sides, and end to end of the colliseum. 3+ hours of straight playing, round screen, floating pig, three albums concentrated into 1 of the best concerts I've ever been to to this day. I tried to get tickets to L.A. tour of, "The Wall." They sold out so fast, I didn't get to see it. However Dark Side, Animals and Wish You Were Here combined?! At least I got to see them once in their hey day, and it was the concert of concerts in my book. What a stage show. What a performance unforgettable!

Вы совершенно правы! Соответствующим инстанциям немедленно издать специальное постановление , всем композиторам еженедельно штамповать по 5-10 ''Symphony No. 40'' by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, 6-11 Deep Purple ''In Rock'', 7-12 Queen ''Show Must Go On''!!! Да будет так, и всех вам благ! Удачи!
Пока существует Планета Земля Их будут слушать и восхищаться.

My favorite...shine on you crazy diamond... doesn't get much better than this.
Just an amazing band,, timeless!!!
This song is more than amazing....spiritual, good for the soul, makes think of my wife.....before covid, when I met her at age 13. There was some something about her that goes beyond my ability to explain. She was such a good person. Wish She Was Here.
THEN I WAS YOUNG AND SO SO STRONG..,.

Just another reminder to our own mortality as I wait to see my live of my life. My love I miss you dearly. Cant wait for the day I get to see you again and hold you. It's been way to long now. And for my family and friends who have all moved onto the other world. We will meet again I know of it. Thx to Roger waters, sid barret, and David Gilmore. Brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it thinking of all of my ppl who I loved over time and are gone now. Until we meet again. I promise you and to my love. I will be older and you will be young I hope you recognize me when I do finally show up.
A child that shined bright as the sun.....

one of the best music in our lives
The first time I heard this album was through the headphones as a kid listening to a peculiar short wave radio I'd built that was made out of bits of televisions, I was blown away by what I was hearing, fading in and out into slight mush and back again. The radio had been tuned to 11,880 kHz 25.25 meters, Radio Turkey, years before they lost the plot and went islamic.

I told my wife I wanted Shine on You Crazy Diamond all parts , in order on a loop played at my memorial service. Not because I'm a diamond, but because I'm crazy.
Jawohl.... fabelhaft.....
