My teenage reasoning, which I spewed as fact, about the end of the song getting sucked into the radio is, "The band is complaining about the music industry, pay-to-play, etc. They become darlings of that industry, and get sucked into the radio, as a metaphor, to them selling-out, in a way." I thought I was so clever and I couldn't be wrong.
