Pink 1956 Cadillac Sedan DeVille Barn Find! Parked in 1969! Sitting for 52 years! Will it Run?!?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

A friend of mine mentioned there was a 1956 Caddy Sedan Deville rotting away in his grandmothers garage. And that it was PINK! Well Duff and I couldn't pass that up! Lets see if we can get this thing back on the road after 50 plus years of sitting abandoned in a 2 stall garage! Sorry guys but this one is already spoken for. I do still have the engine and transmission however if you need a core 365 OHV V8.

You stuck with that so much longer than I would have with that motor. However, you outdid yourself with the Puddin appearance and to top it all off, a pressure washing. Thanks for making Monday mornings so enjoyable. I hope this car doesn't make you lose the shop.

That Caddy has as many peculiarties as a nympho nun, a real chamber of horrors ! How did so much water get in the pan with engine buttoned up ? As for the block, given the missing freeze plugs, it's likely cracked. Oh word is me !

But he broke out his own meter to test diodes, and I thought what a hypocrite not mortski some other dude. that had a KZread channel and thought he was God, he is very smart but he's not God. have a good day too bad that Cadillac was stored like that. What a shame this cool old car wasn't stored in a concrete building with a dry floor and roof, I guess nobody at the time thinks clapped out old motors are gonna be worth something in 50 years! Love your videos and am always excited to watch a new upload, you put a lot of your sense of humour and personality into your videos and they are very entertaining. I think I've watched nearly all of your back catalogue by now, I like how you show the entire process and how you are honest about how everything goes, it's like we're along for the ride with you. Look forward to future videos, keep up the good work, and tell Duff he's a good boy from me!

I always liked those air cleaners. "What are you smelling here? Defeat?" I lost my sandwich over that! I admit to screaming at the screen that it had a multi piece torque coupler/converter. Lots of automatics and semi automatics had that design in the 40s and 50s. U gave it a shot, but the rest of the car, is pretty shot too. Parts car though.

Penzoil Note: My dad bought a 1965 Pontiac Bonneville in 1966. Car had 3,200 miles on it and had it's first service before he drove it off from the dealership. He changed the oil in the car religiously its whole life at or before 3,500 miles and used Penzoil 10W-40 its whole life. He gave me the car for Christmas 1983 and in 1984 the timing chain broke at 158,000 miles. When I removed the valve covers there was literally only room for the rockers to move. Everything else was solid sludge, lifter valley was just as bad. I don't care if they say that they have changed the formula, I will not use Penzoil in anything ever.

Keep this trick I devised years ago for the future.. Try this... Heat the plastic tube from the carb cleaner spray with a lighter (about 1/4-1/2 inch from the end. Then pull on each end of the tube to stretch it. This makes the outer/inner tube diameter smaller and more of a pin point. When the melted plastic solidifies, use small wire clippers or nail clippers to snip the tube at the smallest diameter that still provides flow when spraying. The cleaner comes out like a pin point pressure washer and the shrunken plastic tube end fits inside whatever port your spaying thru. You can also do the same to create 90 degree angles in the plastic tube to spray sideways inside long venturi tubes. I used to make/keep custom tubes around for these situations. Hope this makes sense. BTW.... Great videos.
