Pin Valley's Unique Sunchok Ceremony | Story of Todnam, Spiti - 6/6
Sunchok is a special prayer performed (only) in Pin Valley for the long life and prosperity of a person. It is a grand event with close to a hundred monks and hundreds, even thousands of guests attending.

You can almost start your own Discovery channel...there is lot to learn and see...thank you very very much for everything...massive respect...
This is such a beautiful community living. each family takes care of the other to celebrate so that no family is deprived of happiness. Its good of the lamas too to reduce their fees so that all families can have the opportunity to perform the rituals.. Extremely thoughtful gestures. This feels like another world altogether.
You have not only shown us the village, people and their culture but also make us feel the warmth of sunchok ceremony and made us feel connected to these people. while watching your videos I felt like I am there, living all those moment with villagers as you did. Thank You so much for this wonderful experience.
Wow. What a happy set of people. I wish if I were born there. 😍❤️ റിംപോച്ചേ എന്ന് കേട്ടപ്പോൾ മുഖത്ത് ഒരു പുഞ്ചിരി വിടർന്ന മലയാളികൾ ഉണ്ടോ 😍❤️
It's such a rich and beautiful culture, you people are really blessed. 😊🙏

Attending a Sunchok is now on my bucketlist, thanks to you! :-) And since it is an autumn festival, the temperatures in Pin Valley shouldn't be too low or uncomfortable. Already talking to my local friends from Dhansar and Tabo to see if I can attend one in future. My friends are shocked to know that I want to attend a Sunchok, and say, "Aapko hamare ghar ka Sunchok attend karne aana hai!" :-) Amazing warm-hearted people of Spiti. Makes you want to leave everything and join their tribe.
Never seen such a beautiful content. Thank you for showing our Himalayan range people's culture and rituals.
देख कर बहुत अच्छा लगा। आप लोगों की संस्कृति महान है।नमन करते हैं।

The content is so underrated. Beautiful to watch an entire community working so hard. Wow I got emotional.
The camera angles, cinematography is as if done by pros using multiple cameras, that you did it all alone shows your class and talent! Brilliant!! Thank You!
This is a wonderful documentary. You have done a stupendous job. I have been walking the mountains for a long time, but to be able to capture the lives of people and bring them out in such candid manner is a great feat. That too done singlehandedly. Wonderful

So very informative . Thanks! These age old traditions are so simple , honest and done from the heart. Its sad that with the young generation leaving their villages and going in search of a better future in the cities , these soulful ans rustic traditions are in danger of dissapearing . Hope a few of the younger generation do stay back and carry on these beautiful traditions . THANKS for taking us into their world.☺

Dear Mr Roy trans Himalayan culture exists throughout most of the mountains regions right from the Pamir knot scaling countries from Tajakistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, India, Bhutan and Myanmar. The people in these regions have the same ethnic background and tradition. Religion changes with geographical location.
