I discovered this channel accidentally accidentally and I can’t explain how happy I feel when I watch this and a regret also as it was my dream to become a pilot. But I couldn’t pursue that as my parents were very apprehensive. So I became a doctor. I love my profession but my dream still remains. The captain and first officer are very cool and environment is very friendly. Whenever I fly to attend conferences and when the flight takes off I feel so joyful and exhilarated. It’s like Iam a free bird and Iam flying on my wings. 😊

Folks who deal with highly technical and slightly dangerous situations daily treat it like its normal. They don't get tense as they do it daily and its also in their DNA. Similar to soldiers going into combat. They are still relaxed and upbeat and chatty even if they could potentially get killed that day.

Qatar Airways has the world’s longest non-stop commercial flight, a 9,032-mile (14,535km) marathon from Doha to Auckland, New Zealand. In a Boeing 777-200LR... The journey lasts 16 hours and 20 minutes and crosses 10 time zones, four pilots are on board, as well as 15 cabin crew, who serve 1,100 hot drinks, 2,000 cold drinks and 1,036 meals to passengers.

Right!! A honorable sucessor to the beloved DC-10 and MD-11 in my opinion. But the beat goes on ...

I agree 100 %. The A340, the best airliner on Earth, the real son of the lovely 707s and DC-8s but without the faults. The A-340 remains THE zeo-death aircraft, something that very few can boast with. Amazing safety record, the only other aircraft on par with the A340 is… the A380, yes, a four burner too.

Oh please. The Queen of the Skies is the 747. No matter how many times you say it, the A340 will never be that.

The captain on this flight is a funny guy. I'm flying Lufthansa to Dublin in April...can Swiss Air spare him for the flight to Dublin and back to Frankfurt. I don't like flying but it facinates me. Despite his sense of humour you can see the concentration as they took off especially with the risk of aquaplaning. A pity more people driving cars in rainy conditions don't consider the danger. Love these videos. Help a lot with my nervousness when I fly.

Requesting an A340-300 to increase climb rate, no wonder the pilots laughed.

IMO, they laughed for a different reason - they reminded the control of their current altitude, but were given VERY small increase approval + the controller also made a correction. They were, I suppose, very close to their max weights, very warm and humid weather - not the best condition to expect high climb rate for any plane, not just A340-300/
