I push airplanes back from the gate and have to say Embraer's are my favorite as they are the easiest. So light and easy

Just flew to and back from Washington DC on an Embraer 175. Kind of cool to see the cockpit! Haven't flown in 20 years before that.
Watching these videos and witnessing the professionalism of the pilots, I'm beginning to be more open to flying. I haven't flown since 2007. Thanks.

I love flying. Spirit is awesome for day trips where you dont need anything other than a personal item. Just make sure you're fine with the mask mandate.
I loved flying the E170...it was the perfect balance between a plane you could hand fly and an automatic jet.

Fascinating. I’m always so impressed by the professionalism and discipline of the people who fly these planes and of those who direct them from the ground. It takes a level of attention I doubt many of us could ever muster.

Runway 13 is such a better departure to see the sights of Manhattan and NYC. You take a nice gradual right turn over Flushing and you get to see Laguardia and the runway you just left after about 1 min in the air. Very cool departure. Just make sure you sit on the right side of the plane for a runway 13 departure!

Loved this video! About to fly down to Orlando from Newark in JetBlue’s E-190 (a bit bigger than this model). Still nervous, as I get claustrophobic easily. I flew on Spirit’s A320 in the past and was fine because it’s much bigger than an Embraer E-190. Wish me luck haha

I just fly little Cessna's, but the cockpit looks relatively clean compared to the size of the plane. A lot fewer knobs and switches than I expected.

KEWR is my home airport never knew NY makes you guys fly FL160. Any reason?
Very interesting video. Thank you for sharing it with the rest of us!! I've one question though that I hope you can answer for me!! I understand it's a procedural requirement for airlines to perform safety checks before each take off to ensure all is in good operating and working condition. If that is so, then how does one explain recent PIA disaster in Karachi, India??The crew should have found out during their safety inspection, provided one was performed, if there was a problem with the main landing gear?? Over 90 people had perished because the main landing gear had failed!!!

When there is an accident...there is always a reason or multiple reasons. That is why they are called accidents. In hindsight..virtually all accidents are preventable. But that is hindsight. Negligence...bad decisions...wrong decisions and mechanical failures are some of the reasons. We are human.
@justplanes
4 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much Suzanne, glad you enjoyed it. On the one hand I'll say that anything can fail on a plane during the flight so its not something you will necessarily find before the flight... things happen during the flight.... on the other hand while I would never speculate about a crash before the official report is in it does appear there was no problem with the landing gear as it was lowered just before landing and then for some reason raised.... but it also appears they were too high and fast and not by a bit.... you can read more about it on the websites that cover accident crashes. If you google the accident I'm sure you'll find more details.
Lol the e175 "don't wanna blind people" phenomenon with the strobes. You aren't going to blind anyone. You're on the active runway. Turn the strobes on.
Wanna control a plane like you😢 I really envy you
nobody gon talk about the American Airlines livery or United Airlines Livery
In the US, regionals are a separate company even though they follow the policies of the parent. In Canada, is it the same setup?
That captain never stopped and let the FO talk hardly at all

I've been to La Guardia Airport and it's a pretty bad experience for us, the passengers. Runways are small aswell so that's challenging for you pilots aswell. F in the chat.
I'm sure this is in one of the 154 comments below, but if not, the "Mask Deployed" annunciation on the overhead is a "positive indication only" of a successful deployment of the PAX oxygen on the overhead. It's similar to your "Parking Brake" indicator light. An unsuccessful deployment of the oxygen masks will result in an amber "PAX OXY NOT DEPLOYED" CAS message on your EICAS and no light on the "Mask Deployed" indication. This is not a "pushbutton" type switch.
Embraer really made a good plane, and I think it's a lot to do with not having a bunch of boomers they had to satisfy per se. The task was "make an awesome aircraft" and they win.
When the flight was filmed?
Was that a pdc at the start?
