Such an amazing day to fly. Nice landing, and beautiful view into Washington. Also, love the outside view as well. Both the inside and outside of the aircraft is amazing. Love it.

Beautiful video, love it

I've only travelled on an Airbus A340 once in my life and much preferred it to the Boeing 777, due to the quieter cabin. The noise level makes a big difference to your comfort on an 12 hour flight.

i remember this one...very good stuff...love the cockpit view..

Great landing. I noticed captain set the engines to idle at 40 feet above runway, but before that when you shut off the autopilot do you just still need to adjust the throttles to control the rate of decent?

J.T. Thomas the throttles/thrust levers don’t move automatically on the airbus. They are put into a set mode and the auto thrust will maintain the requested speed. The detent they are place in is the maximum power allowed. Normally airbus pilots seem to leave the auto thrust on until RETARD is called. I think the issue is if you turn off the auto thrust you have to quickly put the thrust levers into the correct position that gives you the same power as the engine we’re producing otherwise they would suddenly power up and speed the plane up. Could be wrong but that’s my theory. It is possible though to manually adjust thrust during landing

I live not too far from IAD, and sometimes I watch airliners overhead that I presume might be approaching there, given their direction of flight by the time they're out of my sight. I was planning to be more specific for mathematical purposes, but I don't want to narrow down my location too much on the wrong platforms. :/
