Pilot REACTS to Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown | Experts React

Ойындар

In this episode of Experts React, U.S Navy pilot, David Gregor, will be reacting to gameplay from Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is a combat flight simulation video game that forgoes a realistic flight model in favor of faster, arcade-like gameplay to increase its accessibility to newer players.
During the single-player campaign, players complete a series of combat missions that tell the in-game story. Players are given an in-game briefing prior to a combat mission, where they are informed of success parameters, expected opposition, terrain features, and weather conditions using a 3D map display.
Players complete missions by destroying various air and surface targets, as well as accomplishing specific mission targets (e.g. destroying in-flight IRBMs). AI-controlled wingmen accompany the player through the mission, providing exposition and potentially shooting down enemy planes for the player. Over the course of the single-player campaign, the player may choose to engage in additional minigames, such as inflight refueling or landing on an aircraft carrier.

2000km is still incedibly fast. Perhaps the ground speed the sr-71 was flying at an altitude of 70000 feet. But when it comes to airspeed (which is what pretty much all planes rely on in some way.) you’d probably hit 1100 knots at most (which is about 780ish kilometers an hour) and thatll be at about 2000 feet where the air is thicker. Its all rather difficult to explain in a comment but there are quite some different ways to measure the speed of a plane. For example mach 1 at 200 feet is really fast but mach 1 at 50000 feet is nothing impressive for fighter jets (Because the air is thinner at 50000 meaning the speed of sound is slower) etc etc etc be prepared to study for a long time to understand most of it Tldr: 2000km is still too fast!

Hey, Gamology. It's really surprising that you guys are even doing a video on Ace Combat. Thank you for doing this, the game are surely getting some exposure to people who haven't played or heard of the game yet. Ace Combat is really underrated and me personally, the main selling point is the story. Most of the fans are really "critical" to the footage that you're using. Don't let any of it get you down though, there's a lot aspect that you can react to this game (if you guys plans to dig deeper into this game and make another episode of it) such as the plane designs (especially the original plane designs), enemy boss planes aka superweapons, enemy combat maneuvers, etc. If you're looking for a good gameplay footage, you can ask permission from the fans prominent members such as Ace Combat Fan, Knight Valfodr, Zaptroxix, and Tuga Avenger. They'll be more than happy to help you. Thanks again for doing this Gamology, we hope to see you doing this again in the near future. Good luck! ❤️

DCS is damned realistic but there's still a huge difference in play style compared to real combat train pilots - as they noted. Growling Sidewinder has hosted a few and the one major thing he notes as being different is IRL fighter pilots are SUPER aggressive as they try to end to fight as quick as possible where players tend to be more defensive.

yeah, this game is basically balls-to-the-walls action movie stuff, but damn is it a lot of fun. For fun realism has to go low down sadly, the niche of guys who love flying straight ahead for 2 hours to drop 3 bombs and don't even see the explosion is slim.

I'd love to see this guy again! Might have been nervous, but it was genuinely interesting to listen to him. However, next time, if you touch on anything Ace Combat related, it'd be lovely to see gameplay from an experienced player. I'd love to hear a pilot react to some of the things that an experienced player would do. Maybe hear their thoughts on some of the more outlandish planes in the game. Or some of the High-G and Post-Stall tricks that you can do in the game! That'd be really fun - and also fun to look at! I mean, who wouldn't want to see this guy react to someone doing a post-stall maneuver while killing a kill.. Or hear him react to planes with lasers and railguns! xD I know I'd love to hear it! :P
