This video shows how to DIY pillar candle (蕾丝蜡烛). It gives the best out of waste craft ideas for home decorations. How to decorate pillar candles with wax? I made lace design for pillar candles. They can be used as wedding decorations as well. I used old candles to make the new pillar candles, beeswax to make the decoration with lace designs.

No, pure beeswax (100%) is the only option.
