15:05 That's Graham Linehan, the writer of Father Ted
7:14 Not Flint, Larry _Duff_
11:00 i'm surprised you didn't notice the fact the blind priest said he is listening to Mr Bean. you just can't simply listen to an episode of that :D If you've enjoyed S1 + S2 get strapped in for S3. it's on a whole new level.

And on top of that, as he’s blind how would he even know he enjoyed the Mr Bean show in the first place 😂 It’s an amazing double joke! 😂
The blind priest is played by an actual blind actor - which seems quite progressive for the time really. He also played a blind character in the sitcom "Friday Night Dinner".

Can't wait until you guys get to Chirpy Burpy Cheat Sheep, which is just straight up one of the funniest episodes of television ever.

Nice factoid, seen this episode loads of times and never knew
The priest who stood up and said should we not have a bit of a pray....wrote Father Ted!
Father Ted was always going to end when it did irrelevant of Dermots passing, which when you get to the last episode makes it even more heart felt
You never got the mr bean joke from the blind guy
8:33 "Ooh ooh-a errr?" "No, errm - there's no mention of it so far." - If you know, you know.
My favourite episode of Father Ted! This was just chocker with gags! Brilliant story and the perfect ending to Series 2!
Nobody ever seems to spot the small nun in the glasses is Pauline McLynn; they gave her this part since Mrs Doyle is almost not in the episode. Nor do many people catch the joke about the blind priest listening to the visual 'comedy' of Mr Bean.

@@secretarchivesofthevaticanWhat's the joke? Is it because an audio version of Mr Bean is a ridiculous idea because that is pretty funny. If you buy a Mr Bean audiobook, you've been ripped off 😂
Filmed at the Southbank Studios of London Weekend Television.
The main joke is that they´re on a very short flight, and using a long haul plane! lol
The guy who stood up and asked to pray is the creator Graham Linehen.
You wait until series 3, it gets even crazier ! xx
Lads, the part where the priest stands up and professes his love for the other priest towards the end....... The priest he says it to, who sits beside him - that's Graham Linehan. He's one of the 2 co-writers of Father Ted 👍❣️🇮🇪
A pilgrimage to America😂 What are they, Mormons? Lol

Loving the Fr Ted reactions lads. Frank Kelly who played Fr Jack, did a version of the 12 Days of Christmas. Very funny & a seasonal tradition in our house. RIP Dermot Morgan & Frank Kelly

Fun fact, out of every single commercial jet crash where there was loss of life a parachute or inflatable life jacket would not have saved those who died. In fact they only put the inflatable life jackets on the planes because people are idiots. In a survey over 90% of people said they wanted a life jacket on a plane. That's the only reason they are there. If you managed to survive the huge impact of hitting the water at 500+mph, actually lets be fair and say 150mph, the minimum speed. Hitting the water at 150mph with nothing but a lap belt means you're probably going to be injured in a very bad way. Then freeing yourself from your seat, finding your life jacket, getting outside of the wreckage and into the sea is the easy part. You then have to some how keep alive for in freezing cold water with numerous injuries until a helicopter travels a couple of hundred miles and manages to see you floating about a vast expanse of water. Honestly, I'd prefer no life jacket. I don't want to die slowey bobbing about the freezing cold ocean with nothing but hope keeping me alive. I'd sooner just put my head under the water and take a massive in breath of water. While all of us think drowning is a scary way to die many people who have drowned and then be revived said that after the first few seconds of intense panic it was extremely peaceful and pain free.
Hi guys the Christmas special is in my top 3,think best war movies sterotipically...this episode could almost bring tears to youre eyes with uncontrolled laughter.
There’s a documentary called ‘close,far away’ that is worth a watch.👍👌

Wait a minute, the "blind priest" was listening to Mr Bean on his headphones? Mr Bean rarely speaks and a visual comedy 🤔
I once saw a statue of Virgin Mary in Lourdes with a multi colour flashing halo you would be amazed of the tacky religious stuff you can buy 😂

My godfather's mum had a shitload of plastic Lourdes tat - the one that made me laugh was a small plastic telly with images of "HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD!" on screen. What the feck has a telly got to do with any of it?

The pilot was also Dennis Hopper’s second in command in Waterworld.
Other tv shows with spke of tge same writers that are also worth checking out (similar kind of humour) 1. Black Books 2. The IT Crowd
I've been on some pretty scary flights. But I'm still not worried. I'm not sure why people are so scared of flying. If they knew about the construction of a plane I could understand it. We've all seen them putting fuel on the wings. They like you believing the fuel is stored in the wings. Because the truth is so much worse... It's always been the landing where things have gone wrong for me. I've been on planes that have tried landing in a storm with huge cross winds. So, we'd just be a few meters off the runway and a huge gust of wind would almost blow us sideways or tilt us so the wing would hit the ground first and the skillful pilot just accelerated and got us back in the air for another go. It took 7 attempts before the pilot got us on the ground. I've been on a plane, again in a storm, and the pilot was so enthusiastic about getting us on the ground that we hit the runway too hard and the front landing gear gave way and we skidded along the runway on the planes nose. I've been in a similar situation, hitting the runway too hard, but the landing gear didn't break but most of the plastic panelling inside the plane came away, the lights fell out of the roof all the overhead baggage compartments flew open and luggage was falling out on peoples heads. One large lady suffered severe back injuries. And I'm really sorry for that lady but it took almost 2 hours to get her off the plane. And because of some law or rule, all injured passengers must be taken off first.. Like I said she wasn't a small lady and she needed a stretcher. As you can imagine that was not an easy puzzle to solve.
all of the episodes are in my Top 5.
Ozzy's tour in Ireland resulted in the spawning of Dougal, I like that theory 😅🤣
"Ghosts" is a good series on CBS. Interestingly enough it is from the original British comedy. Also, the Jeff Bridges film mentioned is called "Fearless" and is actually quite good.

I was literally thinking the same thing about Ghosts (in that its the only American network show I've actually watched for years). But I still think the British version is better, and both versions are pretty 'safe'. It is though interesting to see the changes made between the British version and the original.
Class 👍 👍
I know you get loads of suggestions but please please do Early Doors. Its the Manchester version of Cheers. Only about 12 episodes
Your comments about losing an engine reminds me of the joke. A plane flying across the Atlantic, the pilot comes over the tannoy, announces, Ladies and Gentlemen, we have lost power on one of the engines, our arrival into London will be delayed by 30.minutes. A while later the pilot announces we have lost another engine our arrival will be delayed by another 30 minutes. Later still the pilot comes on again, stating the plane is down to a single engine a 2 hour delay into London. One feller turns to another and says I hope that one doesn't fail otherwise we'll be up here all day.

Not sure about the 'don't do it' you both said. I'm assuming that it's a blind person listening to Mr Bean when it's mainly a visual comedy show. If some one could explain.

The follow on: "Pope Ted - The Musical" was canned in 2018, as a vocal part of the trans community are even less amused by Graham Linehan's efforts, and they have more influence than the Vatican.

thought this episode was a bit daft.
