I recently became a pilates teacher - at 63! I did floor pilates in my 40s and found reformer pilates in my 50s. I laughed all the way through this video. It doesn look like my classes because I have men and women from 30s to 80s. Hilarious video portrayal!

Not enough people have seen a Pilates machine to really get just how hilarious this is. My old landlord had a couple of them, but one was antique from the 70's & it was like... Neogothic looking & made out of walnut. The thing was terrifying, but it absolutely looked like something use for a weird sex ritual.

I went to “free” introductory Pilates class. I thought “it’s just 30 minutes, I can do this.” After 15 minutes I was losing my will to live, but pushed through-only 15 more minutes, right? Just when 30 minutes was up and I was relieved to bolt, it was a 45 minute session. I didn’t die, but I wasn’t about PAY for a membership! 😂

This happened to me the first time i went to Hot Yoga! I thought the session was an hour but it was 90 minutes. About 1/2 way through I thought I was legit passing out. I got up to go the bathroom for a break, then I planned on coming back to finish. But the instructor looked right at me & in front of everyone said - "If you're too tired to continue you need to stay quietly on your mat until we're finished" I looked at her, grabbed my mat & left. These Instructors need to get over themselves.

Merideth and the frozen peas was so perfect. This week of sketches was on point. Kristen must make it easy for the writers to build characters and you can tell the timing with the other comedians is all solid!

I took a pilates class once and this skit is totally accurate.

Polestar trained in 2010. This is so hilarious! I've recently moved back to a rural community after living in So Cal for 15 months and teaching in a Privately own but Club Pilates type studio. This is so freaking funny. I would have included the 20 something from my class doing Russian Splits facing back with one foot on the bar and one on a short box, phone in hand taking a selfie!!!

They just uploaded a behind-the-scenes video about this sketch. The writers for this are Ceara O'Sullivan, Jimmy Fowlie, and Rosebud Baker and this was written because of their observations on how pilates classes look like something out of a horror movie. Yeah, it probably didn't hurt that it also showed off how good Kristen Wiig looked, but the video said it was because of the horror movie aesthetic.
