About Jess P Fit - Jessica Petersen:
A fitness enthusiast her entire life and an avid runner, Jessica has always loved fitness! Jessica studied fashion at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She left her career in fashion in 2018 to pursue her passion for fitness. She received a Pilates Certification from WundaBar Pilates and jumped right in teaching in various WundaBar studios across Southern California. Teaching Pilates came so naturally that she decided to continue branching out and received her National Academy of Sports Medicine Certification giving her the ability to start personal training and other group fitness. Jessica started teaching Pilates at a Members Only club in Santa Clarita, CA in 2019. In 2020 Jessica received her TRIBE Team Training Certification which allows her focus on small group personal training, along with her TRX Certification. Her journey through fitness has moved quickly and continues to drive her motivation to inspire others to be healthy and fit in life!

    Always an absolute pleasure. Keep them advanced! There's already an over-saturation of boring beginning/intermediate reformer videos. I always look forward to what you do next :D

    I layer exactly for this reason. More layers make time under tension longer and really challenges the intermediate or advanced folks, but if it is too tough I tell my beginners to stay with the first layer and take breaks as needed. I am glad you appreciate the challenge! I sure do!!!

    Wow! Holy shake! Loved it! And I agree with you ~ I have discovered that the focus involved in Pilates clears my mind. I fell in love with Pilates because it forces me to feel each movement which in turn clears my mind. Thanks for this great workout ❤️

    Δυστυχώς, αυτή τη στιγμή, μας είναι εξαιρετικά δύσκολο να μεταγλωττίσουμε το βίντεο στα ελληνικά ή σε οποιαδήποτε άλλη γλώσσα. Το κάναμε μια φορά, αλλά γρήγορα συνειδητοποιήσαμε ότι αυτό δεν ήταν κάτι που θα μπορούσαμε να συνεχίσουμε να κάνουμε με κάθε βίντεο. Αν υπάρχει κάποιο συγκεκριμένο που θα θέλατε να δείτε μεταγλωττισμένο στα ελληνικά, ίσως είναι κάτι που θα εξετάσουμε. Εκτιμώ που με παρακολουθείτε και παρακολουθείτε αυτά τα μαθήματα!

    Hi Jess, Your workouts are very advanced. Are you able to do some traditional pilates reformer workouts catered to people at an intemediate level? I think you have the hardest pilates workouts on youtube but I can"t complete them at this time so I was hoping you can cater to some of us who are not as strong. My goal is to hopefully catch up.

    Hi Enza! I hear ya and I completely understand. So, I have a technique that I always use called "layering" so that I am able to target all levels! In every workout you'll notice that I will say things like, "we have one more layer" or "no more layers today"...the layers during an exercise or sequence allow me to start slow (or less aggressive) and then slowly increase the intensity. The more layers, the more time under tension for the muscles and therefore makes it extremely challenging for my more advanced clients. Beginners I instruct to stay with the layers they feel comfortable with and take breaks! Meaning, if we keep adding on and it's getting too difficult you stay working where you are comfortable until we move to the next exercise or sequence. Does that make sense? I will try to speak to this more and more in my upcoming videos so it starts to become more clear. Thank you for bringing this to my attention! You are not the only person that feels this way and I want you to be able to get stronger with me!

    Jess, I love your workouts and do them three times a week. You kick my butt, and my legs look lovely. However, the amount of ads in this workout made it miserable to complete. I almost stopped many times and took it off my playlist.

    So I am having my husband look at the ad settings! I don't manage any of that so I asked him to pull back on the ad involvement. Sometimes it is a bit out of our control, but I am very strict about no ads during the class. They should only be happening before and after class. The next time you do a class, if you don't mind, could you count the number of ads you experience?
