Olimar bids farewell to the Pikmins for having helped him find all of his ship parts. The Pikmins, after they're left alone, have learned survival skills due to the adventure.
Key Notes:
- This is the perfect ending. To get the normal ending, you must have at least picked between 25 to 29 parts. To get the bad ending, you must have picked 24 or less parts.

I love this ending, I especial love how the Pikmin wave goodbye to olimar
Easily one of the most satisfying endings in gaming.
Got nuetral ending years ago and was so sad, i was on the last level, ran out of days. Today i got the goid ending all those years later. Seeing the Dphin swim gracefullt through space got my heart going. This franchise is amazing.

Such a good ending that I nearly tear up think how good it is!
Actually, the number of ship parts doesn't effect whether or not you get the Bad or Good ending. Of course the Perfect ending is achieved by collecting all ship parts. After the final analysis screen, you'll see all the ship parts. All ship parts with yellow names are *required* while all ship parts with blue names are *optional*. Even if you collect 28/30 ship parts, if one of the missing parts is a required one, your doomed and you get the bad ending. 25/30 are required. 5/30 are optional.

While it's important to save oxygen to return home, Olimar could've had an "Until We Meet Again" Party with the Pikmin before leaving.

i like to imagine that the challenge mode levels exist because olimar decided to stay one more day just to help populate the pikmin
