    I would love it. 2 blue Pikmin vs 3 groovy long legs. Also having dandori challenges would be cool. Defeat 7 bulborbs with 7 flying Pikmin in 1 minute. I would love to see it in a later update but probably not

    If there was a cave creator, I would make so many caves with Rock Pikmin and Winged Pikmin in it, it would be so good. But, we have to wait. Patience is key.

    I think a cave creator like this would be perfect. I was just thinking about it. - Let players make caves between 1-5 sublevels long - Choose preset themes (Aquarium, Home, Cave, Industrial, etc...) and place down pre-made level assets. - Choose enemy placements (up to a cap of lets say 30 enemies), with a limit of 3 bosses allowed per sublevel. - Choose decor, traps, gates, buttons, bridges, item locations, candypop buds, wild Pikmin, castaways, treasures, resources, hazards, etc... - Choose if there's a time limit or a clear limit (as in choose the method of being allowed to go to the next floor, should you want one) - Choose the Pikmin types recommended to the player - Choose the name for your cave, and a brief description - Test your cave before uploading it online I'd pay for a cave creator DLC, 100%. Doesn't need to be anything too crazy, just let us use preset assets and build up from there. Please, Nintendo.

    I actually thought of this idea while playing, when I retreived a certain castaway, he liked exploring caves, so I thought that a cave creator woulg have been acessible if you completed all his quests.

    Maybe preset parts of caves would work. And maybe limits on certain bosses existing, like 2 waterwraiths or 3 emperor bulblaxes. Also, the whole "beat before you post" thing is a good idea, as it prevents things from being unbeatable.

    Literally everyone would love this. “Infinite caves” in a way. I thought the same thing during my TOTK playthrough, a shrine creator would fit so well in the game. Other online features to extend a games life also work too. For example, you said Elden Ring came and went, however, Elden Ring’s pvp is very developed, and still alive. Also the core of Elden Ring’s making your own build keeps it replayable. I think AAA games should really start using online side modes to keep a game alive, even just leaderboards.

    I really wish Nintendo stops clinging to the past, and tries to fit in with the Modern World, and actually let their Fans BLOOM up instead of punishing them for being Creative. But these ideas are really cool ntg. Also if i were to add a Pikmin 4 Cave Creator; I would add Creatures [Old and New] or elements from other Pikmin Games, like the Pikmin Duplicating Flower from Pikmin 2.

    Maybe there should be a mode where you play a cave with 6-12 sublevels that are completely randomized sublevels made by other players! At the end, depending on how many pikmin you loss, treasure collected, and enemies collected you are given a medal. maybe treasure would be worth the most, pikmin lost 2nd, and enemies 3rd.

    I literally just stopped typing this rant on what I'd change about the game and then saw this. I am posting that here, I still love Pikmin 4 I just would have done this to the game: The character creator in Pikmin 4 is a horrible idea I mean your character doesn't ever get a personality and since half the game's characters are made in it, then they after way less unique. The fact that you create your character it means that Nintendo couldn't really put a personality to them. Your character becomes a Mary Sue. Olimar: Would venture too far and is very expressive despite his family being less appreciative of it Louie: Will eat an actual Horse Alph is shy and antisocial Charlie is abrasive Brittany is sassy You're character saves 55 People..... Yay! Maybe switching between them and going into each level choosing which one and having things only THEY could do like Russ could only build bridges or Shepherd was the only one that Oatchi will follow or Yonny being someone who stays after sunset for the day and gets the cure. It encourages more strategic plays and would definitely improve replay ability, I think having to rescue some of the corps is fine like Bernard or Dingo and making it so that Bernard unlocks the areas instead of Collin for some reason. I think changing the castaways from being on a set order of discovery is bad too, because it broke the emersion for me when I found that out. You could find Russ at a beach or inside a house depending on how much you procrastinate... I say that the Rescue Corps should be mostly intact again apart from 1 or 2 members again. And as for what each member could do Shepherd, Brings Oatchi with here allowing for the use of jumping and multi-tasking like in the actual game Collin, enters cardiac arrest, and also should shut up. But when playing as him then you can access the bits on the map indicating treasures and such. Russ, construction of bridges and on the spot item crafting. Dingo, longer range more damage from slaps and some form of sling shot like the second player in 2P-mode, and change 2P-mode to be a second member joining you that being the second player. Yonny, After the day is over Yonny will send the pikmin to the onion and wait to start the night expedition. (I always thought that instead of exploring and then getting a nighttime exploration option that you just was loafing around till night for day) Bernard, Well Now Bernard unlocks areas because Collin being the Comms expert and not the bloody pilot doesn't make much sense to me on being the area unlocked. When playing as Bernard I think fast travel to the unlocked areas is best. I mean also trimming and editing the ideas of the Castaways would be nice too, not making them playable that would probably be too much. Having more interpersonal relations would have been nice, not just those like 3 work relations. I always love thinking that François and Kingsly should be related in some way for the fact they are from the same planet and serve similar roles within the story, I also kind of wish that items like Extra Hand and Line-up Trumpet weren't quest items, because they are things that are decently helpful and there really is no reason that the holder of the item has it I think that they should be things that Russ makes. I Feel that the Leafling Look reward is really well put, completely optional and and doesn't feel out of place. Of coarse having extra rewards that aren't just out of place would be great. Like if you finished Dalmo's Line then he could give you something like, this is a mock-up I didn't put Much thought into it but... Portable Piklopedia: With his research complete, He now has details on how to beat the enemies along with all of his notes on them and now you can view it at any time. I think that works fine as it makes sense for Dalmo to have and is a Satisfactory Reward for completing his quest, it is also optional but can help with the 'New Player' aim that Nintendo was going for with the game. They could do something similar with Schnauz could also work, Having them in the style of Alph's Notes would be good aswell. Speaking of Alph... Having More Dialogue on how the Koppaites in Pikmin 4 are related to the ones from 3, I mean there isn't anything indicating Don Bergman being related to Charlie, but with Yorke being well known to be Alph's brother and while I haven't seen people talk about it, Don and Yorke talk about how Nelle is related to a famous botonist I wonder who.... I think there is a good chance Charlie and Don are probable like Father and son or something. I actually would have preferred if Nintendo went with. Finally Caves are fine, new pikmin types are fine could have used one more main ones, but we got fine ones. Gameplay additions are fine too, I love the environments and amount of them, And uhh we need more life into the switches hud, I am mentioning it now because the pikmin transporting data between consoles was great and that type of stuff with like cloud saves and downloading things would be cool.

    I feel like the csve creator could also allow for remixing areas of the game into dandori challenges, Letting people explore these locations with different enemies, treasures, and routes to take. It could be really interesting!

    Features I’d love to see in Pikmin 4: -Old and New Stages (ex. Wistful wilds, Distant Tundra, Valley of Repose) -New campaign (Maybe with Olimar, Louie, and Moss, or maybe the return of the Koppaits from Pikmin 3 with a new dog.) -the ability to reset/replay caves with the bosses and treasures scrambled or back to their original place. Maybe even a hard mode for the caves. -The return of Mission mode with new and remixed stages. Maybe even remake some Pikmin 3 stages (Game modes 1. Battle enemies 2. Collect treasures 3. Grow Pikmin squad 4. Battle bosses 5. Night mode {with infinite time}) (Maybe allow people to make custom stages too) -Boss rush -More 2 Player mode stuff (Including Pikmin 2’s Battle mode, And Pikmin 3’s Bingo Battle. -Difficulties like in Pikmin 3. Beginner: all types of Pikmin in the field, 1.5x Sparklium, Pikmin do 1.5x damage Normal: 3 types of Pikmin in the field, 1x Sparklium, Pikmin do 1x damage Hard: 1 type of Pikmin in the field, 0.5x sparklium, Pikmin are 0.5x stronger Custom: You choose what happens in your playthough, whether it’s what Pikmin you start off with, the amount of sparklium you get from treasures, or the damage your pikmin deal. -Buff Winged and Rock Pikmin again Highly unlikely for all these to happen though lmao

    10-20 player Pikmin battel royal sounds fun, the main goal is to fully eliminate people by destroying their onion and then taking their health below 0, you get a random type of Pikmin to start between red blue and yellow and you can find red blues and yellows through out the map with ease and other types will have a different rarity. Reds would be damage class with rocks. whites, blue, and wings would be in transport class. and and yellow would be all rounder class with purple. Their is secondary classes like whites are speed class, purple would be ground combat class with reds and rocks. Yellow and winged would be air combat, and blue submerged combat class. Ice would be terrain class for their abilities to freeze water and would have the secondary classification of support class for freezing enemies. You also find items like the charge whistle on the ground. Also if you get items that make immune to elements, both you and Oatchie would get that immunity instead of just upgrading one you

    Glows are items and do not count as the total number of Pikmin how ever you can only get up to 10 of them and they are extremely rare to find and they come in packs of 5 glows each find

    "What happens after that?" You replay it, and replay it, and replay it, and the thing is that Pikmin games are so good for replaying. However, hell yeah Pikmin needs online features. It has a Multiplayer but not online? That's just such a 2010s Nintendo move and I hate it.

    Most Nintendo games suffer from lack of online when it wouldn’t be that hard to implement. Local split screen multiplayer means nothing when I have no friends coming over lol

    I can imagine a cave where Oatchi and a bunch of purple pikmin have to carry a 1100 weighted treasure through a narrow tunnel full of bomb dweevils, bulborb larvae, and a smokey progg. *The dweevils and the larvae spawn infinitely throughout the tunnel.

    No no no no I’ll do you one better. You have to get the 1000 weight treasure down a single long corridor, but both walls have empress bulblaxes on top that you can’t hit, but are constantly spitting out babies

    Making something that's local multiplayer, then reworking into an online mode is not simple by any stretch of the imagination. The scope and variables of things that can go wrong skyrocket. There are new things that have to be implemented or handled, such as lobbies/rooms, connections, disconnection at any time, latency, and desync, while still trying to keep it as smooth an experience as possible, even under disadvantageous network situations. The time needed to develop an online mode is much longer than what players think it does; It's something that one has to be a dev to truly understand how much of a process it can be. 😅 That said, UGC seems like a much better (and highly realistic) DLC that could be added to this game, and would be such a wonderful opportunity. It would give me everything that I would want to play the game forever. Currently, I'm debating playing the game again but with no items/upgrades so I can play more of the game in a new way. There's so much potential for UGC too. Like giving the creator the option to configure a level with any of the modes mentioned in the video, especially the many types of dandori challenges, like defeat all, or collect all. I feel like building material still has untapped potential that can be unleashed through new level designs. It would be great!

    Heck, even if there's DLC that just creates randomized challenges in a randomly generated map (even if they're impossible), I'd still be happy. I just need some kind of feeling that I'm playing something I haven't experienced the same as before.

    Idk why they don’t allow enemies to respawn in the overworld, especially once you’ve 100% the game. I actually really liked Pikmin 2 because after I beat the game I just focused on getting as many pikmin as I could which to me was still entertaining enough. The lack of overworld enemies makes the world feel completely barren and lackluster…

    I think an online Pikmin game should be made as a game of its own, rather than being a side mode to a main Pikmin game. Here's how it would be organised IMO : -Dandori Battle Mode (basically the dandori battles from pikmin 4 but online) -there can be up to 4 players in each of the 2 teams -you have a variety of stages that would all look different instead of always being toy houses or beach-like environment -you could also create and share online your own stages -A cave Creator Mode (exactly what it says it is, a mode where you can create your own caves and share them online) -The goal would be to get to the end as fast as possible. -At the end, you get a score that depends on how fast you got to the end, how many treasures and enemy corpses you brought back to the ship and how many enemies you killed. -Like you said, only a maximum of 30 sublevels -For how you create the caves, you can ad rooms and corridors and you can decide on how large and/or long they can be, you can ad all sort of enemies, bosses, hazards, treasures or wild pikmins (I could go more on details but that's all I'm going to say for now) -A Mission/Challenge Creator Mode (basically the mission mode from pikmin 3 but online and you can create your own stages that you can share online) -the goal would be either to kill all enemies, get all the treasures, get to a specific location, bring a specific object to the ship or others objectives (reply to me your ideas) -The way you make the stages would be like the cave creator -A night Mission Mode (the night missions from pikmin 4 but on online multiplayer) -You can have a variety of different maps -You can also, you guessed it, make your own maps -For creation, well first off, it's like the mission/challenge creator, then its a bit different, the only thing you can ad are lumiknolls (the limit of them would be 3), tricknolls (the limit of them would be 10) and glow pellets mounds. You can also add enemies but some can't be placed in this mode. -There can be up to 4 players in this mode, each being able to control a maximum of 25 glow Pikmins each. -There could be also an infinite mode, which is basically what it says it is, a mode where enemies will spawn infinitely, regardless of what you do. There could be two difficulties to this mode, one where the lumiknolls regenerate their health and the Tricknolls respawn a few minutes after they're destroyed (if that happens of course), and one where that doesn't happen. Once one of the lumicknolls is destroyed, you'll get a score based on how long you survived and how many glow pikmins you had at the end. That's it for my idea of what a online Pikmin game should be like. If you have any others idea, you can reply them to me, I'd love to hear you ideas.

    Not every game needs a long term series of content updates, nor shoving stuff like that into a single player story game first, but honestly something like an official cave creator would be insanely fun.

    The soft confirm of a Pikmin 5 really did leave me sad because it was just like Pikmin 3... except they didn't soft-confirm another one. Now i am FORCED to wait for Pikmin 5. Not Hope for one Also if Cave Creator was a thing, i think it should definitely be a choice for having Sublevel clearing conditions, for example kill one of the bosses on the floor, or Defeat all Bulborbs it could really differentiate each cave to not just be a full Dandori cave, though giving you the option to do that as well. I hope we get something else for Pikmin 4, maybe little events following some of the characters that crashed first, or just something else to keep the game from dying out so quickly. But as long as Moss is in Pikmin 5 and not forgotten, i'm happy lol

    ​@@syweb2majority of the games up to date has free dlc updates that often kills the lifespan of said game. Look at mario maker 2, that game only got two dlc updates and Nintendo decided to have the second one be the final update despite the game only lasting almost months. Same goes to the mario sports games on the switch, as soon as there is free dlc, the game's lifespan of replayability gets cut short and left empty and abandoned.

    i have a different way the caves would work for playing. maybe like the caves in game, you can go through the floors and not even collect anything. there could be a sort of leaderboard per each cave for completion percent, or some sort of medal system. your ideas still pretty good though, similar to 2s challenge mode.

    Honestly, I disagree. The biggest missed opportunity with Pikmin 4 isnt a cave creator, nor is it online features. that stuff will eventually be modded in with a community as dedicated to the games as the pikmin community. The real biggest missed opportunity was a lack of local coop for the story. I know it's technically there, but let's be honest. NOBODY considered Super Mario Galaxy 1/2's 2 player mode a 2 player mode, and I don't count this either, as it's only a pointer on the screen throwing things that barely impact the game. Why couldn't player 2 be Oatchi? It would've made so much sense. Maybe it would be boring at times carrying things back for player 2 so they didn't bother, but that already happens in single player when you're waiting for your squad to carry things back, so that isnt as strong of a point against it. Perhaps there was some other complications with riding Oatchi when 2 players are controlling each character, but that definitely is the real missed opportunity in my opinion.

    meh, if they did add a cave builder like in mario maker, it would probably go just as well as mario maker did, where 99% of the user submitted levels dont feel like a real pikmin cave, and are just crappy basic levels with bosses spammed anywhere with only one pikmin. tell me thats not what you think everyone would do. online dandori battles though, i can get behind

    while a cave creator is a fantastic idea im ok with games just ending. once you get a full experience out of them. So many live service games now a days are soulless cash grabs i would hate to see that with my little piks

    Ultra spicy mode in Dandori battle is way too easy. It would be challenging if actual Pikmin players (like ones that have been playing for years, like myself) actually competed against me so I would have competition.

    If both you and the CPU are on ultra spicy mode, then that won’t change the difficulty, just your objectives in the start of the battle, if you want a challenge, just set yourself to ultra spicy and the CPU to ultra sweet

    I would love a dandori battle map editor. The dutch version, whenever you unlock a new stage in the mode, will say: “you unlocked new elements in dandori battle: you unlocked a new level!”. The “elements” made me think there would be more, perhaps even a level editor, as in mario maker 2, parts are called elements in the dutch version. It was kind of a shame to see there not even being anything more than just the basegame levels you already have in the main story Also did you just call world of light trash? Absolute blasphemy. Spirits are one of the most fun parts of ultimate

    Pikmin 4 could definitely use online multiplayer components, it just doesn’t need anything that interrupts the main story, like two player local co-op shouldn’t be online for the main story since it’s such a bad multiplayer. But nintendo should totally add things like those shown in the video since it’s more of an extra online feature to keep people on the game after finishing as opposed to throwing in online co-op in a story mode thats supposed to only be local or single players

    Missed opportunity is a side mini game where you race on a race track riding Oatchi using an infinite rush Would be really fun with other players, or even single player! It would be great with a mission mode similar to Mario Kart DS where you run around a track with one-hit enemies and it says “don’t kill any enemies” With Oatchi’s Slippery turn It would be a unique racing game

    This video has given me a lot of great ideas!     I personally think that there would be various different modules you could connect together, and also be able to select if the walls are walls, pits, water, or mud, as well as hazards such as hot floors, sticky mold, poison mushrooms and electric gates, just to name a few

    I Would like to Make my Path and be able to rise or lower ground also choose where water is. but i would have it so there is a amout of sparkliem to reach and maybe you could have to rescue castaways, and still you have to get to the end. and i would really hope it wouldnt be limited to the cave's, maybe we could make a over world and put our caves in it. And maybe We could Make dandori Maps. If This was added it would probably be a DLC with 1 extra area.

    after beating the game I was like hmm... Time to play the Multi player and was absolutely shocked at how little there was I would probably have been fine if there were more than 6 dandori arenas and they are all quite bad being 3 playroom style levels and 3 beach themed ones we could have had a aquarium style level a shower room style level a swamp style level but no there is practically nothing stage builder would be cool bring back some old enemies like gatlingroink and Piliated Snagret (only for stage builder for the psychopaths that would actually use those enemies). More character customizer I was shocked at how little there was and most of the options were awful! dog customizer I didn't like oatchi's design it is Ugly Moss is cool though! No Bulbmin? I didn't like the submerged castle re-make worse than the original the original wasn't that good to begin with! (The song is absolutely amazing though!) I played the entire engulfed castle with out triggering the wriather wraith ones.

    I think if they were to make a Pikmin level/cave editor it would be a different game, like they did for the Mario franchise. I'm not a huge fan of the Pikmin games, but if they added a Pikmin level/cave editor or made a game like Mario Maker but for Pikmin, I'd definitely buy it.

    Honestly I don't think saving olimar counts as the "post game", it's sort of like the fakeout ending from pikmin 2. Once you defeat louie, I'd consider that the real ending. And if you count it from there.. yeah there's nothing left at all to do once you do that
