With emulation and parsec you can play bingo battle online, but its definitely jank and I wish they had just made it a feature in deluxe

you know, idle pikmin don't get left behind in caves. like, if they're scattered all over the floor, you don't have to go collect them all up into a captain's party and take all that unnecessary risk. you can just go straight to the next hole/geyser.

Agreed, I’ve loved pikmin since the first one was new and it’s awesome to have new content for some of my favorite games with a really awesome content creator!

Random thought about Echo Fighters in Smash - I always thought Alph would be a pretty decent fit, maybe using ONLY Rock Pikmin rather than multiple types; it would keep him a bit more consistent than Olimar, similar to what Lucina and Chrom do

@@doobi6343yeah thats asking for trouble rather what i’d do is replace white and purple pikmin with pink and rock. pinks are just as agile as whites with the added ability to fly but no poison abilities, and rock pikmin would act similarly to purples but deal a bit less damage in trade for far more survivability. and then perhaps olimar’s up-b could be modified to have him hop in his s.s. dolphin and fly up similarly to dedede’s recovery? he could also have louie replace his alt. skin and he could use the pikmin 2 variant of the ship instead.

They should have Louie with PikPik carrots to play the role of an averaged-out Olimar echo.

I enjoy pikmin 1 a lot too, for me its the anesthetic of it's graphics. It has a nostalgia similar to finding an old magazine from your childhood or before you existed. Plus the extra bosses appearing on certain days. It mixed things up with a sudden surprise. I kinda wish we got more of that in the sequels and also a powerful emperor bulblax.

it's the best way to fight it and the beady long legs. just use a small squad and stay under it. other things in pikmin, or life, or etc, can be like that too. where if you try to be too cautious, you'll do more harm than good, vs just diving straight in and getting the job done. but that is a rare thing. it is mostly good to be cautious.

Sakurai showed some dev docs once that mentioned Alph was going to be in the same "echo" league as Lucina & Dark Pit (& Dr Mario, technically) in Smash 4, and was indeed going to use Rock Pikmin, but presumably time constraints prevented it. As to why they didn't upgrade him in Ultimate, I'm guessing the other more popular Echoes were a higher priority. Kind of a shame.

I’ve started playing 251 and I’m so used to the controls of Pikmin 3 that 251 is hard for me lmao, not to mention how much I relyed on the targeting system in Pikmin 3

the phosbat could have easily been like a waterwraith equivalent to stalk you through that whole area until you are able to fight it properly but it was way too easy to avoid

Alph and Brittany have great personality, or have you not read any of the piklopedia entries in Deluxe? Alph is an engineer after my own heart, always looking at the enemies from an analytical point of view, similar to how Olimar looks at them from a biological perspective; Alph examines their design and weaknesses from a technological perspective. Britanny is just cute and funny, and her notes about the fruits are always fun and funny. Captain is great too, but honestly I like all of the captains... except Louie; he's a straight villain, that I just love to hate lmao

yeah Britanny is alot of fun. I don't understand the negatives of her and alph. If it was charlie i'd probably agree but honestly i liked the group enough to wish they were the main characters of 4 instead of brand new characters

Kinda love Brittany. I do think the Pikmin 3 captains suffer from not having much flavor text like Olimar and Louie did in Pikmin 2 (Olimar's Journal, Louie's Recipe Guide), but they're cute. I still don't like Alph though.

yeah, man clearly hadn't read the Deluxe Piklopedia sine it adds so much to the captains, even Olimar and Louie get some new lines. Plus Brittany's new lines are hilarious, she just says things that are a bit... concerning and I think it's great.
