Does the arty glitch actually help? I didn't notice a massive difference between arty glitching and normal animation cancelling

depends, the purpose of using "arty glitching" is to force cancel the animation. For example, right click only useable when Q2 is done, but if u use G to cancel, you will straight get the buff without a complete backflip animation. In this scenario, u save around a sec or/and stamina for front roll to get back the distance. Do you think it is necessary? Not really, it really depends

PIKE is less difficult to learn, but requires a high level of proficiency. Shield is not very difficult to play and does not require a high level of skill, but it does require a high level of army understanding. Shield is better for killing generals with unit.
