Been busy with a baby and finally got around to seeing this! I highly suggest looking at the Sounds in their Sampler. That's where all the basic sounds for the presets and much more. Even the basic waveforms are hiding in there to use with the VST.

Hey man. great video. Love how you present these presets. I have a tip for you regarding your video's audio. The plugin by Klevgrand called Brusfri can help you clean the audio of the back noise. It works like a charm and will make your audio sound much more professional. I believe it will kill the sound of fans and other stuff, also will reverberate it slightly.

How you like the keylabs essential so far

I got 2011 Dell Precision with 8GB of RAM, 4-core i7 of the era - and it is running at around 15% CPU in the Reaper DAW and standalone. Then again, I was using it for bass one note at a time - might be different for both hands at keys, haven't checked that. And my Pigment version is 1.xxx smth.

You can bro... you dont see the PLENTY of times I mess up you can do it to trust!

I got Pigments 2 around xmas because they had it for like 70 bucks (great deal). I already owned Analog Lab so I was fimiliar with Arturias stuff. I'm still learning it myself and still got a lot to learn. There are some good presets for sure. I'm also digging the sample editor. You can add any sample and completely change it with it's feautures it has. The visuals are nice too. I recommend any of Arturias stuff for sure. Good quality.

I know it's 2 years old video but I really struggle to find what was the title of the song you played at 4:35 with the salmon & brass preset if someone knows I greatly appreciate

My problem with pigments is whenever I try to remove it from my tracks, Ableton ALWAYS crashes. Even though I love it, I avoid using it. Don't get me started in CPU usage... I remember Arturia saying this version is less CPU intensive, but it's not true. I remember you stated in a video how it takes a few seconds to load another preset and that's something that drives me mad sometimes lol. Good video, bro!

aye whats good G!! Na i dont know of keylock BUT you can open up scaler 2 (in ableton) and get the sound out of Scaler 2 in to pigments and you can keylock with Scaler 2

Can you please do a review on which vsts aren't CPU heavy

I have an old PC. Luckily I spent my career as a software dev. so I have windows cut down to the minimum and use Lasso to manage CPU utilization. I have managed to get Pigments 2 to stay under 10%. I still have to freeze tracks to audio and off-line the VST. This is one of the reasons why pros like UAD with the DSP running off box in hardware. The face you pulled when you were playing the funky bass riff was great. I play bass and can't control my expressions when I gat in the zone. 😃 Loving your content.

Yes a heavy spec’d Macbook Pro 16”. Best laptop I’ve had. Its not cheap, but ill guess its gonna work quite good the next 6-7 years. I run Pigments, Diva etc easily on it. Though I still have problems/issues with load times, but I guess that is just the way Arturia have chosen to make their plugins. Hope it gets an update along the way.

You can always record the melody in midi then freeze the track and render it to audio to free up CPU or make a separate audio track and arm it to the midi track with pigments and just record audio straight from pigments and turn the midi off when you don’t use it 🤔
