Before you let them out get them use to a basket. Put them in the basket and position it in front of the loft, so they can see it, let them settle and look around, after an hour release them from the basket, and hopefully they may walk out and walk around on the grass being pigeon , leave the aviary open, some may walk in, or some may fly directly onto the loft and hang around just the the Smokey blue one that escaped 😂

Kurt, before you let the young birds fly. Soak them in water to the point that they won't be able to fly until they are all dried up. Place the all in the landing board and give them time to dried up. Good technique to avoid young birds flyaways.

Breeders are looking well mate, I think you should still trap train the white and barless than that lowers the risk of losing them if you do ever let them out jmo. I reckon float the top pairs eggs down to the bottom pair and let them go for a second round, id be trap training them all for a week straight before letting them out so they are 100% Keen to come in through the trap, but they are all looking great mate, glad you got that little one back in, after a whole week of trapping they will be sweet to let out to fly I reckon most of those YB’s,

Maybe you should keep only for feeders to your good birds, because those birds didn't get out as early as your younger birds, they probably won't be any good for flying but they sure can raise youngsters from your good pigeons. That's is my 2 cents. 😊 You have a good base, get as many as you can, that way you will end up with good birds and some exceptional ones, which is the key to any new flyer. Few but exceptional is what you should be keying on. That is my experience.

Hi Kurt, really enjoyed the latest episode, yeah looks like some of them are about to set fly, remember that you are now not in a built up area and do not have any near neighbours so the young ones have no other roofs etc to land on nearby do that's also a massive help. I would also give shock and the mealy hen another round as they will have some great colours but they have good stock background too so will be good flyers. You have a lot of blues and checkers already so good variety. Also like the two black twins from Adam Archer, interested to see how they do but would like to see Storm with Shovk at some stage. Yeah enough work put in for this week have a few hours off.. Thanks for the footage mate.

Sir, you can let your pigeon out by themselves even not using the trap cage before giving them food...they’ll learn how to go inside once feeding time and every time you train them like that it will be fine. And sir maney, you must be far from them so that nothing can spook them.just let them trap back their own and theyll get used to it

just me but I would take that board off infront of the trap.Itll be easier for the birds to trap. They cant see the food to trap and its looks harder for them to get in having to have to walk halfway to the board to trap

The issue for me with the trap is that with the landing board inside they can’t see the food when they poke their heads through. They should just drop straight in. They can’t see the other birds eating to let them know food is there.
