Yep, this happened to me. A guy showed me a paper bag with $3,000 in it, he told me he wanted to go into the stripclub to get a lap dance, but was afraid the stripper was gonna steal his $3,000 dollars. He asked me if I could hold his money, while he went inside. He also asked me if i was trust worthty. I told him he could trust me with his money. He then asked me if i had any money on me and to proof i was thrustworthy, he said to put my money and his money in the same bag. I immediately gave him my $300 thinking I was gonna get away with this idiot's money. We put my and his money in the same bag, he gave me the bag with cash and he walked into the stripclub.. When he was out of my sight, I headed towards my car and left. When i was in a safe area, I opened the bag, just to find a whole bunch of newspapers in it....

My high school boyfriend fell for this one when we were teenagers in NYC. He called me at home and had me meet him, he told me the whole story, He was sitting there waiting for someone to come back and claim half f the, $2,000 he was holding for them..... He started to get very nervous.... Then he opened the bag they gave him and it was a dollar or two wrapped around paper. He lost $500 I think? I still have no Idea how they picked him because he looked very poor...torn and dirty clothes and battered sneakers. It may have been that he was on his way to some music lesson with an instrument case? IDK Very strange!

The only way people would fall for this is if they were extremely elderly and thus confused, but naturally trusting, but even then I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone gullible enough to even continue the conversation longer than one second after a third person "just happened" to saunter up. LOL. Hell, I wouldn't have even engaged the first person. I trust NO ONE.

But why keep it together for 30 days instead of just splitting the money on the spot? Only an idiot would go to their bank when there is $30,000 in 3 different bundles and 3 people there. People who already know if something is too good to be true, then it probably is would just say "Its your lucky day" if they saw a scam like this.

0:34 this is the equivalent of the karate expert trying to demonstrate how to get out of a hold and saying, “grab my arm. No not there, grab it here.” If you said something like that to a con artist they would probably think, okay this isn’t the mark for me and move on. They want to pick just the right person for this con. Blue shirt guy should have pointed that out instead of just correcting the other guy.

Uh. Yeah no. First of all.. if a random ass person came up to me and asked me if this was mine .. and I said no... And they proceeded to open it . and it was $$ that I already had said "no" to .. why would I believe that I, and another random ass nosy person ( his accomplice) are equally entitled to it. The first guy is the only one who found it. I had shit to do with finding it... So why would I believe that I had any claim on it anyway. First red flag. Second, if I had $6000 in the bank, then I'm pretty responsible and most likely careful with my money or have a good job that allows me to have that much money in the bank on any given day..which means I'm probably smart and educated ..cause I have a good ass job... So again I would probably be like why do you want me to give you my money from the bank..you can just split it evenly and we can all still meet up in 30 days... And 3rd of all.. And most importantly why this would NEVER work on me... Is I don't have a $100 in the bank much less $2000.... So you picked the wrong broke ass human to try to con... And pretty much wasted your time.. And lastly ... I would probably not want to have anything to do with any money that came with a note saying cops have been paid off already etc etc... because I know for a fact you don't mess with people's money like that and those people will come looking for their money... because that money probably belongs to someone that will not like being stolen from and will take it as a personal insult...and usually ppl brag about what they found or make it very obvious with their purchases..and ppl talk .. and ppl know ppl who know ppl and next thing you know you get a bullet to the head by a smiling homeless lady with a stroller full of puppies, who is whistling a happy tune as she hands back a piece to a man in the back seat of a Lexus wearing a suit who smirks while looking in the direction of your dead body as he cleans off any fingerprints with his Hermes handkerchief. ...no.... You don't play with ppls money.
