We had to redo our whole operation. Cost 5 million dollars. It was worth it healthier hogs and piglet and better pork to .

    Hello friends, I am fortunate to receive your message. I think you may have some misunderstandings. The pigs we raise are not completely enclosed indoors for 9 months. We have a complete breeding system from piglets to adult pigs, including pig farm production area, gestation house, farrowing house, nursery house, and fattening house have a good environmental control system, disinfection system, feeding system, drinking water system, sick pig isolation room and manure removal system. The periphery of the pig farm is also designed Various greening. If you are interested in learning more, you can communicate with our product manager in detail. WhatsApp: +086 18137822989

    Hello, your ranch is great, i just have one question: why is it necessary to cut the pig's tail at a young age? Is it to prevent disease?

  • @GREATFARMCN

    @GREATFARMCN

    Жыл бұрын

    Thank you! The main reason for tail docking in piglets is to prevent tail biting between piglets, which can cause infections and the spread of diseases. Additionally, it can prevent biting behavior among adult pigs due to sexual maturity, reducing injuries and fights in the breeding facility. In a breeding facility, piglets are densely kept in a small space, which can lead to biting behavior between them. If the tails are not docked, biting can leave wounds that are susceptible to infection and disease transmission. Therefore, many breeding facilities perform tail docking on piglets a few days after birth to ensure their health and growth. Tail docking is typically performed through cutting or cauterizing. It is important to note that tail docking should be done at the appropriate time and in the appropriate manner to avoid negative effects on piglet health. Additionally, appropriate pain relief and infection prevention measures should be taken during tail docking to ensure the health and growth of piglets.

    What does extracting the teeth and cutting the tail does?

  • @GREATFARMCN

    @GREATFARMCN

    Жыл бұрын

    Tail docking and teeth clipping are common pig management methods used to prevent piglets from injuring each other during growth and development. Specifically, teeth clipping aims to prevent pigs from biting each other, especially when fed high-concentration feed, which can cause pain and lead to disease. Tail docking aims to prevent pigs from crushing each other in the pen, which can result in tail injuries and infections. However, these procedures can also have negative impacts on pig welfare, such as pain and stress, so appropriate methods and timing are necessary to minimize their effects. In addition, other pig management measures, such as optimizing feed and water conditions and improving pen hygiene, are needed to ensure pig health and growth.

    With many old cows roaming streets, rail-yards, farms, alleys, it could be beneficial to have similar "homes" for aged cows. It won't be a profit center, but could be a charitable animal welfare entity.
