It's impressive! I've tested it out and it's good. It's a very low-resolution mesh, but it keeps the form. As an artist, I can use it to speed up the sculpting process. I'll make more tests. Pity, it doesn't work with faces/heads only. You guys are brilliant! Thank you!

@@elijahtrenton8351 Thanks! Seems only the demo version is free. I ended up with Keentools (Blender addon) for faces. Not the best option, but it speeds up the process anyway.

Bro I appreciate your videos very helpful but can you make a full video please of where a picture not in the T pose can turn into an animation by using a different picture with a T pose? Please

is there a tool in blender to separate the hand from the body and then fill the holes (this way you can rig the character, without having to use an Image of the person already in a T-pose)?

After i do it i get to the render results part and it fails and i dont know why?

I keep following all steps in tutorial but OBJ file doesnt appear in results/pitfuhd_final/recon folder! And refreshind doesnt help. What's wrong? Please help.

i've seen some example videos where the model is continuously generated based on footage or an image sequence. Any idea how that's done? Just running each frame through as a single image one by one? How would you chain those frame-by-frame models into one model, though?

if you are using c4d you can use a plugin called batch processing to create an obj sequence

Hi mate, loved this video. Liked and subbed. Life would be much better if PIFuHD had the option of importing the texture with color from the 2D image, or a colab notebook that colors the 3d mesh based on the 2d image input. I think in the future we may see something like that in a few years...

Great tutorial. Could you followup with a clean up tutorial so that good quality 3d models can be printed.

Thank you for your guidence in expaling clearly to convert 2d image into 3d object... But my doubt if i want to print 3d object what i converted...? So I think this is really awesome and wanted to get an old GPU/accelerator to try it out on my own computer. Out of curiosity do you know if a newer version of Cuda would be better than more memory? I know pytorch needs 3.5 or higher, but I'm no where near smart enough to know what all goes on on the back end of pifuhd.

Have you ever created a 3 D model from 2d image but the output also gives you Various body measurements such as height, waist size, length of the arm and soo on?

Try again, by using a quality photo with no complicated background. Example: Taking your own T-pose photo, with only clean white wall behind you. Don't want to have other complicated objects in the photo.
