I just watched her on America's Got Talent, she literally sang from the audience during a commercial break, got on stage and Howie gave her the Golden Buzzer! She is absolutely amazing!

I felt like the older actress (Christian Serratos) was portraying JLO acting as Selena. Everything down to the mannerisms and giggles. It was also hard to believe a woman who is clearly 30 years old in real life playing Selena when she was 16. Casting could’ve been better. The wig budget was clearly small. Btw, CHRISTIAN SERRATOS is a great actor, however every actor has their own lane, this was not hers.

She was better than the older actress playing Selena. She feels more natural unlike the older version in which you see lots of wigs. Also watching him play the guitar made it look more realistic....this is the only part that looks legit in my opinion.

@@chrisslayer9923 You answered your own question. And when you wear a bad wig the confidence of the actress is not high. And the Selena fans that have seen her live and have seen the film Selena notice this. This was done with little amount of money on the budget that even you have notice it. The rest of the actors look ridiculous in those wigs. Seems like they were trying to out do JLo’s version and they failed miserably. They should’ve hired JLo maybe then they wouldn’t have look this horrible like they are desperate for money cashing in Selena’s legacy.

@@jesusbonnie my question was rhetorical. Regardless the quality of a wig doesn’t determine the quality of acting. I believe Christian Serratos did a great job, and her confidence shines through the screen. However she did not embody Selena. Which is ok, we’re talking about acting here. People seem to want actors to be possessed by the dead and literally become them. For example, Leonardo Decaprio is a great actor, but we can’t expect him to play a character Adam Sandler would normally play. It seems off. Whoever did the casting, did a shit job. Jennifer Lopez got shit, Christian Serratos got shit. Can’t please everyone. I completely understand your stance on the quick cash grab of Selena’s legacy. I remember back in 1995 seeing the news of someone I looked up to being murdered. Live footage of police waiting outside the hotel, and I believe two weeks later her father was already talking about making the movie. I saw that on one of the Spanish talk shows on Univision back in the day.

@@chrisslayer9923 I disagree with you, you can’t compare Leo acting on a film that does not involve a real life character vs someone playing the part of a real life human. If there was to be a Michael Jackson film you would expect the actor to move, look and sound like Michael. Look at the film Bohemian Rhapsody, those actors did such a phenomenal job in capturing the image of the group “Queen”.....you can’t urinate on people’s leg and call it rain...it’s urine at the end of the day.
