Sweet, totally worked I've had a wordlock on my bike for 7 years and never used it, I tried so many combinations and couldn't figure it out!

I'm a building manager and a bike was left in a walkway thanks to you I was able to remove the lock without damaging it and move the bike to a location near by out of the way.

Thanks, at first I was spinning the wrong way. A lady sold us a bike but had that through the bike, she forgot the code. She said we could just cut it. But I thought what a waste. Thanks for your help. I hope there is no lower thieves watching this though.

Hehe thank you for your support Potti314 ... no I don't have big muscles, rather discs were easy to turn - quite a nicely made lock in this way. I haven't seen an obvious non-destructive way to open it yet, but I may see if I can open it in one of my other videos.

I did this to pick my own bike lock open, found out it was FART before I changed it. Soon remembered I created the code back in 4th grade, 5 school years ago.

Well done for getting it open! Most thieves cut the lock (brute force). Some will decode but not many. Still, part of why I do this is to show that combo locks aren't secure!

This makes no sense to me and i have the exact same lock you do

I figured out this method 45 years ago. The early ones were quite sloppy and it only took a few seconds.

Hi I have just purchased one of these locks, I'm in Australia BTW. The word attached only partially opens the lock. Do you think it may be faulty or just jammed? May need some lubricant? Please help as I cannot contact the website, thank you. You seem to have some decent knowledge of these locks, would so appreciate your assistance, Cheers

For these bike locks, if it partially opens but doesn't come out all the way, then it's jammed and faulty. If it starts to open (eg half way) it should open all the way. You could try jiggling the wheels a tiny amount as you are pulling?

I have the same lock and this method doesn't work at all. Any advice??

Ahh yea this is method really for bike locks ... I have other videos though for other types of locks.

To change the word combination, first enter the correct word combination and pull apart. On the end with the dials, the very end bit turns (the "setting screw") - turn it clockwise about 90 degrees (sometimes it sticks and it's tough to turn all the way!), and then enter the new word, and then turn the setting screw back and you're done. @@Swynndla Probably not. Currently have my lock trying to loosen up. Hasn't been used in about 8 years. Almost no visible rust. Each rotation of a number makes a click. . The snapping into place might work. But trying 2 get dead silence to feel if any resistance is not really feasible. I cant even find a video using a trek lock.

@@Sacredarrowable Maybe there is non-rust corrosion, and I don't know if WD40 or CRC would help. What you could try instead is: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f3hsydCaiNO5crw.html ... it uses an "indirect" method. This is extended here with this high-quality lock: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nZilj6SdY9nLaLw.html ... let me know how this "indirect" method works out for you (it works for a surprisingly large number of combination bike locks).

I don't know Spanish, but this updated video for this lock: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mqKTlNFmmJa_l6w.html and also this one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mqKTlNFmmJa_l6w.html has English subtitles (not auto-generated ones) where I put the exact English words I say, so you might be able to use those good subtitles to translate into Spanish?
