The Omega is stunning. I've never seen that one before.

Two completely different designs. I'm a big fan of Omega but the Breitling is really something. Very much the vintage design, it's salmon dial , date and moon display gel together so well. Your getting the Patek look at a fraction of the cost.

I agree. Love both watches but they’re different styles. Because of the salmon dial, it’s a great 5270P alternative but if you’re okay with a white dial, I’d say the better option is the JLC Master Control chrono calendar. Love the Breitling, it’s just quite thick

Breitling is making some really nice watches with the Heritage series. But that might be the sharpest speedie I’ve ever seen. It’s now on my list.

Both are good, but the Datora is really good!

The Omega, although some of the offerings from Breitling definitely have my interest!

Brand wise I prefer Omega but in this case without question Breitling is much more interesting watch. On other hand I had Zenith chronomaster with all same complications Breitling has but with much better El Primero movement and much thinner case. BTW that Zenith can still be purchased used in 18K gold case cheaper then steel Breitling and at 3-5K in steel . I also own a Moonwatch for which I paid about 3K at 40% discount in new condition just few years ago. There is no way anyone can justify 13K price tag for regular speedmaster.

i own both i really enjoy the DATORA more

The Breitling takes an easy win. When.Patek copied the original Datora, it says everything.

Breitling crushes this one.

The footprint should be on all moonphase models except the gold ones

Omega all day. If it was the new mint green dial Breitling, diff story-but of course no moon phase.

Omega, I possibly couldn't see the Breitling calender.

In terms of sizing, fit , thickness how do they compare? Apparently omega is 44.25 but wears smaller because lug to lug is below 50 ...

All case dimensions for both are listed in the description if you'd like to compare. The Omega does wear smaller than the 44mm case would suggest.

@@brentmillertime8778 oh thank you. That's what I wanted to hear ... my wrist is 16.5cm circumference and anything bigger then 42 seems out of proportion. But this one having less then 50 lug to lug I thought maybe I can pull jt off

maybe its because the breitling looks very similar to a patek perpetual calendar

The number 2 on the Breitling looks horrible, once noticed it's hard to digest.

the breitling looks like a £20k watch. the omega looks like, eat this, a swatch.

The Breitling I would buy in an instant, it's replicated by Patek. BUT. And a HUGE BUT, the Breitling is so thick it is comical. Therefore I would NOT buy. Sadly.

The breitling is pretty heavily beveled - doesn't wear near as large as the raw dimensions would indicate.

How about neither and save your $$$ for something a bit more substantial.

I own three Breitlings, this particular Breitling has one of the most ugly colour dials I have ever seen in real life
