Pick 2: Very Scale. Cheap. Capable 🤔

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This is the Trasped HG4-52 Toyota 4Runner 1/18 scale model crawler (www.banggood.com/custlink/vmm... ). It's the 'Upgraded' version, which includes 4WS, full light function, a sound kit and functional simulated exhaust. Not a bad package for USD$100!
So what's the catch? No car is perfect (okay, some get close, but not in this price bracket) but this newly-released RC model sure looks good on paper!
This is my Trasped HG4-52 review. Let's take a look!
--
Small correction: there's no extra smoke fluid included. The car does come with the little tank filled, for maybe 40 minutes of smoke, give or take.

There are two versions and two colors of this model. Both versions come in both colors, so that's 4 choices!
Buy the UPGRADED version here (as shown in this video):
Banggood: www.banggood.com/custlink/vmm...
The STANDARD Version doesn't have 4WS, lights, sound or smoke:

Also consider the FMS models, they're great! Here are my videos of these:

A correction: these FMS models don't have sound kits, as I suggested early in this video.

Pretty cool little rig. Will some FMS 1/24th wheels and tires fit it? If so, it could be a worthy upgrade for some better off-road ability.

This is a great idea. I've been thinking about it all afternoon. I've pulled out my big 1/24 parts container and I've got some motors, wheels and tires to test with it. I'll edit this in a bit to let you know how I've gotten on! Oh boy oh boy, yep, fits both fms wheels and motors on the plug side. Also has beadlock wheels! Looks like I've got more to do with this car yet! What a great call, thanks for the suggestion!

Injora brass faux disc brake hex nuts fitted, and chunkier tires on the stock beadlocks. Already that's a real win. Next, I've removed the transmission and I'm going to see what motors I can fit, depending on the pinion arrangement. After that, maybe waterproofing the main board and then, we'll see. Going well though! This little car is very cool.

But I was comparing it to a very cheap WPL D12 1:16 scale which is a much better driver on flat surface because it's quieter and has better articulated suspension than the jimny I got fro trasped. That's a bull ant, and she was fine. Jumped off the car, bit it (sorry for shaky footage), then rolled and then resumed being a bad ass in the leaves. These ants are common and there are numerous big colonies around the house. But there's an even bigger species here; they're metallic green and they just dwarf the bull ants. More placid, too. I've measured one of these big ones, they're about 40mm long!! I won't ever drop a spider on your screen without prior warning, don't worry. But I figured/hoped ants wouldn't freak anyone out too much! With 6 legs and only 1 pair of eyes, they're not quite as alarming to some folks as spiders can be.
