@@GeneralRosity Akira said it himself, Orange Piccolo = SSB, and Gohan was never equal to SSB on his mystic form, that was shown only in anime where even Krillin somehow could fight with SSB Goku, wich doesn't make sense at all

Power levels are portrayed as failed science within the canon itself. Scouters are never thoroughly explained but they seem to measure various energy outputs of biological lifeforms and assess their "fighting power" based on some unknown metric. The metric turns out to be completely inaccurate with essentially every martial artist being able to "hide" their power level. You can actually see each character in the series assert the scouters are useless at different points. Roshi is the first one to call it out, it says krillin is stronger than him but roshi can still whoop krillin out of sheer skill. vegeta's opinions on power levels are the most solidifying. He gets screwed by scouters twice and then realizes using scouters to screw frieza was a game-changing advantage.
