LOL, that is what my wife is telling me as well. I do agree with you. When I made the prototype, I was surprised how many people wanted to add a stock, optics,... and my point was that it is actually possible to make a relative normal size air pistol with great performance. So I am kind off following the trend here, testing those accessories. I must say that I do like it and it also makes possible from my daughters to be able to shoot off hand considering the weight of the whole setup is much lower than virtually and carbine...

Hi Gregor, first thank you for creating such a stunning air pistol the GK1 is a game changer, I’m just about to order a GK1 & have been told because I’m in the uk I’ll have to purchase the regulated model because of our 6lb limit that’s fine but can I change it to full power when I’m at my family’s home in Belgium & is it the same process as de-restricting the GK1 v3, many thanks Jonathan.

Not sure how they limit the power on UK version. I heard that they have a regulator. So in theory, you can still adjust the power if the regulator is in, but the max power will be limited by the regulator pressure and the plenum size. If you are willing to remove the regulator, then you should be able to get full power but you might need to replace some parts. I will cover this in the video where I will be installing the regulator in one of mine GK1s...

Try unscrewing it (slowly to release the air out) and clean the tapered surface where the screw head seals and the screw head itself using only a cotton or paper cloth and some silicon spray or grease. Then screw it in quite firmly (I don't know the exact torque). Try filling it if it holds... If not, then you will need to use some high pressure thread sealing or thread lock and repeat the process. If you will use thread lock, make sure you use the non-permanent version (usually blue colour). You can also try winding teflon tape on the screw threads but that is quite challenging on such small screw. Also be careful that the tape does not protrude from the screw inwards towards the valve as it might come between the valve and the housing, cause either malfunctions or leaks towards the barrel...

It's all about personal preferences and choice mate. Some people love a pistol and some love a rifle......... some like the best of both worlds which is when a nice little carbine comes into play. With my adapter you can keep your GK1 as a pistol but if you ever need to have better accuracy and control, you can easily attach a rear stock and without any damage to your gun. I always remember when the EdGun Leshiy 2 came out how lots of people were taking off the rear part and saying what a great pistol it would make. Well with the GK1 and my adapter, you've basically got that exact setup. 👍🏻

Yeah, like I replied to MikeCase; I agree with you and te very reason why I built my initial prototype was to have a light and small pistol. But accessories are very popular and these do bring advantages for my family, in particularly so my daughters can shoot off hand a carbine rifle. And it can be removed with ease, leaving you with the pistol from :)

Regulated version is weaker but more consistent shots. Probly best around 25-30fpe or less. Unless ur in shoots competitions there's no point imo. Cuz u can lower the power on non regu version and get good shot consistency

  • @gregorkamensek3923

I actually just received the regulator for it. It is built the same way I have it on my prototype. MikeCase said it all on how the red will affect the performance. Only thing I would maybe add is that there will probably be less issues with pellets spiralling with regulator as the pressure will be lower and always the same (If you follow my videos, then you will know what I am talking about... :)). I will test it and review it of course.

@@PETRAKOV1 Yes, absolutely. Unregulated version will have much higher power. Honestly, for 99% of people, unregulated will be a better choice. Regulator is just for those that are looking from extreme consistency. You will not notice the accuracy difference because you (the shooter) will be the limiting factor, not the pistol.

It's not a permanent conversion, it's just an extra option for people to have if they want it. By having a Carbine setup it's lighter than a full length rifle and also more accurate to use than a pistol in about 99% of shooters cases. It's proving to be very popular !
