My interpretation of the video: What he's building represents all that he had endured/he felt after his father's death and being surrounded in water represents how that burden sort of drowns him. It slowly burning/falling apart shows him learning to finally start to let that go as life goes on, as well as the very last minute scene of just his face rising above the water. I guess showing how he's "rising above" all that drowned. That shot of him in the water with his wedding ring on I'm guessing would symbolize what's helping him as he grows on. Just my analysis.

This is my new favourite band on earth. This album not even shouty, but filled with sublime subdued energies on guitar and vocals, golly it's so fine you should go find more by them. recommend Old Pride. Who knows cooler records than you? Prove it. Wear me out refrain kills me. What a song

How's it stand? What are we? Let that sand flush my cheeks, wear me out, keep me clean, keep me longing, keep that quiet company, wear me out, I heard a voice telling me, like your smoke waving, and my eyes repine, wear me out that wick wont burn away, it's giving uneven rings. Wear me out, like a sister haunting absence, like a sister who's finally had it, like a room left open just for being kept, like some lonely facet, like the promise of a place and knowing you're neither here nor there, wear me out, and the tree tops like crooked beliefs, cross hatch crows feet reaching for the Baltimore heat, and I repine faster and faster now, your wick wont burn away. What are we without regret? What are we? Wear me out. What are we without that end? Without that death? That darkness? Wear me out. There's so many parallels from then until now, we try to believe, we keep telling ourselves, it's a flaw that can't be faked. I heard a voice passing through, and I know it's never you, and I know what I'm looking to find, and I repine faster and faster now, your wick won't burn away.

One thing can take an incredible amount of time to create, but with one single action everything you have built can be destroyed. Whether it's putting your own negatives into something to burn and free your mind, or studying hard to get that dream job. It only takes one operation to change everything.

Wasn't this band once called: "Piano 'Keys' Become the Teeth?" I could have sworn it was. That at least makes some sense because piano keys do resemble teeth. However whole pianos being teeth is a weird image and doesn't seem to work metaphorically.

What Kyle actually said in the interview is that it comes from the old saying about really big teeth, that they look like piano keys, and the ideology of how if you dwell on something for too long you become the problem, which is what most of their music deals with thematically. He said the name gets lots of shit but that it's fitting.

Not to be pretentious, it's honestly just really funny.
