I stumbled across your channel and got really teary when I watched you play by ear... I have a son who is 10.5 years old, he has 50% hearing loss in both ears and wears hearing aids since he was 5. But even though his hearing is a struggle, even when he was a toddler he had a fascination with music and at age 8 we decided to put him into piano lessons. He did well, but when it came to reading notes he struggled big time but he could always learn the song just by ear once his teacher played it for him first. Consistently his teachers would tell me how amazed they were at his progress, but when he practiced at home we realized he still wasn't learning notes (this was after 3 years of piano). Piano began a frustration for me as the music got harder and I struggled to help him, I put a lot of pressure on him to read music until finally a friend of mine told me let it go - that if he had the love of music in him and could play by ear, that he would come back to it. Shortly after he was diagnosed with ADHD and for some reason - memorizing notes just NEVER came to him, but he could hear the notes and replay them. This year is his first year not being in a consistent piano class but he still watches videos of music and gets inspired and will sit down at the plano and learn the song by ear - just like you do. I am showing him your channel because I know you will be an inspiration to him! Any words you have for him would be appreciated - it is so good to have other musicians to look up to.
Rachel is such a beautiful person. Obviously outwardly, but her soul is a reflection of her true beauty. She truly understands what Frank is capable of, and is the kind of fan that all musicians wish that they had. I'm so, so glad that he could touch her soul with his music, and she could communicate to him just how truly amazing of a gift he has, and how he gives that to other people.
The interpretation of that last song was absolutely stunning.

Hi Frank, I'm 58 years old and have to tell you that I believe you are one of the most talented people I have ever seen ! Most of the music you play genuinely brings tears to my eyes from pure joy ! I truly hope you get everything out of life you wish for !
Rachel at the end.. excellent. This is my reading of how this went down. 13:35 - her utter shock and disbelief 13:50 - her heart is melting 13:52 - she simply cannot believe what she is hearing and true appreciation of his talent 15:44 - He never asks for the name of the person he is playing for. They introduce. Rachel and Frank really like each other. 15:51 - "Do you live in an apartment or house?" Both holding their phones, they have exchanged numbers. 15:52 - Her smile is enormous and she has fallen in love

Bro, not everything is a love story. She was in awe of his talent, that's it. He does ask people's names, usually to fill up conversation, but either way people will ask other people's names if they like that person (not necessarily romantically). Frank picked up his phone to save the song because he liked it (he even says so), not to save her number. She looks at her phone probably because Frank told her about his KZread channel. She was doing a normal smile, happy because she heard some amazing music. Sheesh, y'all are like English teachers reading into things way more than they actually are.

Dude killed it on squidward nose. Probably his best performance.
The ultimate sign of respect and appreciation is when they are totally quiet until he’s done and then freak out
Can we all just take a moment and reflect on the energy that dude bros bring when they are standing in as your hype man? You'll never feel more like a champ than when a dude bro is hyping you.
I can't overstate how much I love that last 4 minutes. The rest of the video is great and you are incredibly talented, but the raw connection in the last 4 minutes is something else entirely. You entertained everyone in the video, but you really touched the heart of Rachael at the end. That was special and something in short supply these days. Thank you for giving me the privilege of watching that moment.
Kyle was actually tearing up man. That’s the spirit of music right there. I need to let it reach me like that. You’re doing important things Frank ♥️

My biggest pet peeve is when people say that others are talented when they are impressed. Bro, it's not talent, he practiced for 15 years, and saying he's born with it is kinda belittling his hard work. Frank has relative pitch as far as I know :P I know your comment wasn't meant in a negative way. Have a nice day.

@@dagent0056 Nice job on assuming I read comments. There are countless comments on this video, people are bound to have the same idea and say the same thing. I simply just commented what was on my mind but apparently people immediately assume I'm commenting out of malicious intent to steal clout or something? I could give less than two fucks about upvotes and all that, I just put my what was on my mind out there in case someone else sees it and chuckles or something. Also here's a newsflash for you, nearly 100% of the thoughts you will ever have aren't original. So instead of immediately thinking I'm stealing a comment and generally being negative for no reason, how about you use those thoughts of yours and think about something other than your infinitely narrow perspective

You have some real talent Frank. Your ability and dexterity is just through the roof, awesome.
Some of the greatest pianists I've ever met wouldn't think of trying a song without practicing for hours to make sure they have it perfect. I've known concert pianists who have played before royalty... my own great grandmother played before Manuel II, last king of Portugal. None of them could do what you do. Bravissimo.
That Squidward nose drop was waaaaaay better that I assumed. I like it when people have a random good song out of know where
I would pay money to see this live.

I think "All Time Low" is one of your best renditions off of a listen. The song is structured in a way that allows you to just absolutely go in on it, and you did. Truly wonderful, I go back to it often and would listen to a full cover of it on repeat if you even did one. Much love.
