Shocks, Pegs.... LUCKY.

I bought in September 2020 the same MP3. (same color also). I owned it 11 months (before it was stolen beginning August 2021). In that time I drove 29.000 km on it, mainly on highway. I am/was very pleased with this motor. A new one is in order. I think there is enough power. Also a really handy feature is the reverse mode. Also the rotation circle is small. One big minus on this motor are the brakes. You have to use a relative force to break, and the breaks need time. I tried several time to break hard, but the ABS was not kicking in, the wheels did not block. Service every 5.000 km. With 10.000 km the belt was also replaced. I also needed a new rear tire at 25.000 km due to wear and tear. Fuel consumption 1 liter for 22 km. (total average) This is my first motor. I don't have a motor drivers licence, but you can drive this on with a car licence. Before that I drove a regular 50cc scooter and had before that a car. It's important to use very good clothing, boots, gloves and helmet. The chance of falling is smaller than with a 2 wheel motor, but better be safe. For me an absolute great motor to drive.

I have owned the MP3 300 HPE for about 7 months and drove 10 000 km with it, but now I have the MP3 500 HPE. I loved my 300 HPE. Light, agile and fun to drive. I think the wind protection of the legs was a little bit better than on the 500 HPE and it had zero vibrations in low speeds. But the top speed was not enough for me. My 300 HPE had a top speed (gps) about 113 km/h, which was not enough for me on highways. It was also a little bit on the small size for me. That was two reasons why I sold it and bought a new MP3 500 HPE (2019) instead. It is heavier and bigger than the 300 HPE, but I like it more than the 300 when driving at a speed of 65-70 km/h or above. It is very stable at high speeds (130 km/h)and is much faster than the 300 when you have to do an overtake from 80-90 km/h. I like the large under seat storage (larger than both Tricity 300 and XMAX 300) and I think the seat is more comfortable than that on the MP3 300 HPE. I am very satisfied with the Piaggio MP3 500 HPE I must say. It is fine both in the city and on longer trips (touring)! 🙂

I've owned a Piaggio MP3 500 LT for two years now and honestly wouldn't swap it for anything, except the 2021 500 HPe variant! 🤣

Oh wow really. I have a 2008 gilera fuoco 500. But its so hard over bumps . I'm looking at the Piaggio mp3 500 sport 2015/2016 hoping it will be more comfortable. But I've been told the big service for these £800+

Had mine since 2015...I absolutely love it...

I had not drive my Piaggio mp3 yet because to working on it! I have high wind screen on it but I think doing good job driving that mp3 500!

I guess a reverse gear is a nice feature on this bike.. as it weigh over 260kg. I really like these bikes! :-)

7:45 you talk about the foot pedal being not as strong - If you read in the manual you could see it is designed to be weaker for a purpose . "Vehicle deceleration may be governed either by the pedal-operated braking system or the combined action of the two manual controls. Maximum braking performance is obtained by using the manual controls"

I like this concept for a number of reasons. I want to get a scooter just to take short rides, but I am older and want something with more stability, and I don't have the money to spend on a three wheel motorcycle like a Can Am.

I purchased a used 2007 Piaggio mp3 250IE miles on it 003010 I am restoring it because first owner had it sitting in the garage series years! I changes out all oil & fuel and flush out the coolant! I changes out drive belt & rebuild the clutch & change out Variator to high performance cvt variator kit & Dr. Pulley slider 21x17 12.5 grams!

I think this scooter is more suitable for longer distances. Ich denke das dieser Roller besser für längere Strecken geeignet ist. Penso che questo scooter sia più adatto per distanze maggiori.

I am looking to buy three wheeled bike.. I watched all you videos of three wheelers and from your (very helpful) reviews I am going to buy Yamaha Tricity 300. I though piaggio 500 would give me reassuring speed on motorways and easy overtaking on motorway speeds.. But as you said you dont feel that power that is on the paper then there is no point spending more money,and besides that the driving feeling is much better with Yamaha tricity 300.. Right? :) Thank you your videos and sharing your experience

Hello there, this is quite a coincidence, since I was supposed to test ride the new MP500 2021 today, but I had to cancel because of work. Hello, if you want safety I guess you need to take the Piaggio. If you want a good scooter, I would choose the Honda Forza instead.

The Piaggio MP3 is a neat vehicle, but I would think since Can Am came out with the Ryker 600 for only $8995 U.S. dollars it will hurt the sales of the Piaggio.

Hello, I think around 10-12k EUR.

Center of gravity was too high for my liking. Felt very tippy once wheel locks were disengaged.

I really miss coffe stable...

Hi, this is definitely not a car :) Yes, it is a tricycle, a motorcycle or scooter with three wheels.

Piaggio needs to do an LCD display. Their gauges are outdated. There’s no difference between this one and my 2009. Yes, the seating is too high which causes one to lean forward on the handlebars causing hand fatigue. I have to force myself to lean back and keep my feet as high up but they also need to fix that.

Buy 300 and boost engine -,-

Not a great bike for long distance riding it doesnt have the power for highway speeds its tops out at 88mph that's alot of stress to keep on thst engine

most roads you arent allowed too faster then 60 miles atleast where i live, so that 88 around 140km is the top speed doesnt matter much
