I would of been if I didn't just now recover my pi account after 2 yrs but I still have a 899 transferable balance right. Pioneer status sucks

lol but the numbers you see are theoretical... "only" around 4,000 out of more than 30,000 referrals are still active and daily some still lose interest, so form that huge balance I'll only get a fraction in the end. It will still be a lot, but nowhere near what it says on the screen.

Those new coins are available immediately. You can change the lockup once the mainnet launches and those changed settings should only affect any additional coins you get from referrals that pass the KYC verification later.

Sory for the bad speling.

So reading the white paper today, they stated that they will have a max supply of 100 billion pi coin, and that 65% will be mined for those who partake in the process. I see a lot of people throw random numbers for “price predictions” such as $100 or higher, I can’t see due to the supply how that will be possible.

One important question is how much of that supply will be circulating, but even more important, how much each Pioneer is willing to sell their Pi coins for. If nobody would be willing to sell/use their Pi coins for less than $100 then that would be the value of Pi no matter how big the supply. But obv. with more supply it also means that there'll always be some that will be willing to sell for $0.0000001 as well. Either way, the enclosed mainnet should help get a rough idea of how the majority of users value their Pi already before we then will see a definitive value on the open mainnet once Pi gets listed on the first exchange.

Yes, once you created your wallet in the Pi Browser it's automatically connected to your account. Don't forget to backup your private key.

No, if you don't set the lockup before the mainnet launch your coins simply won't be locked up and you won't get the mining boost.

I don't know why everyone is focusing so much on what value Pi will have at launch... really doesn't matter. If Pi manages to create an active community that uses Pi for different things than the value will anyways increase over time as it attracts more users. Therefore, it doesn't really matter what the value at launch is going to be IMHO.

Hi Christian. I have been mining with my group for a year. on the six steps. 1. do i have to download the app again as I am mining on it already. 2. Do i have to download browser again with my test wallet. Will my test wallet become Mainet wallet with my passphrase and wallet ID I have from my test wallet. Great channel. Pity Pi has no support videos to help. I have lost some on group who lost their app and did not know how to get back. No info from Pi. Thanks for all info we follow on your channel.

No need to download anything again. As for the wallet, I assume that your test net wallet will turn into the mainnet wallet, but if not you'll for sure have an option to create a new mainnet wallet. Yeah, Pi could've done much better in terms of marketing and support content. You can see that the majority of my referrals also already "gave up" which is a huge pity for me and for them. Anyways, take a look at the new checklist that's on the homescreen right now :)

I have two members in my secure group who got new phones, (same numbers not new,)downloaded the app and put in username and password. The app started but it went back to mining from 1 Pi. Thy have lost all their Pi and are angry as have been mining and verified with FB for a year. Even though they are mining from one, they show on my secure group but does never show the mining. I have a few with other problems an all are friends/real people verified in the old FB and phone number. Another (3rd one) downloaded app. put in UN and PW and it says number already in use. Pi has no support structure to assist people, so we have to rely on guys like you to help. One would think they would be more organized in educating properly. Imagine doing all this, get listed, buy more Pi, change to new phone and same number and then you find it's all gone and you don't even know how to find it or get help. That is their shortfall. lots of updates, no education. Can you help there in any way? thank you Bruce

Well, as you can see most of them aren't active anymore so my final balance will be much lower from what's visible right now.

My pi trasferred to mainet and there a was a lock of date 23-03-2024 but on that day it automatically increased for 3 years on 25-01-2027 Then i changed lock up as 25% for 2 weeks but still the date is same as before 25-01-2027??

I highly doubt that. The lockup works the same for everyone and the date definitely doesn't change. Updating your lockup settings only affects future migrations btw.

That's up to you to decide. The more and the longer you lock up your coins, the bigger the boost your mining rate gets. So, it all comes down to how much you believe in the project's long-term success.

No. You'll have to wait for it to unlock. On the bright side, if the project succeeds, those coins will be worth much more in three years than they are now. Don't forget to update your lockup settings accordingly for future migrations.

Chris is there a way that we can unlock our locked pi so that it can be migrated to our wallet...I've seen a video on this subject but unable to follow its tutorial bcos it runs too fast so I was unable catch the url shown on the video...my pi are locked up till year 2027. Plse make a video on it.

You just have to wait. Migrations taking longer means that there is a ton of users in the queue, so while annoying, it's actually a good sign.

I'm a little lost but just to clarify the whole point of locked up is so that people don't sell all their pi the second it goes to mainnet correct? And by locking it up once pi is on the mainnet that's how long your crypto will be locked up until you can sell it and by having it locked up you get a mining boost?

No, it's only affecting the Pi you got before the transfer to the mainnet. Anything you receive on the mainnet won't be locked up.

You have to invite new users to Pi Network and they have to use your nickname during sign-up. In other words, if you want to have a lot of referrals, you also have to put in a lot of effort to reach many people looking for ways to get crypto.

Yes, once your referrals pass KYC those "bonus Pi" will be transferred as well and will also consider your current lockup settings. You can, however, change your lockup settings at any time.

So, it sound's like lockup means the coin you "stored" in Pi system and can not use it in other way like trading or make some profit. One thing i do not understand is that lockup only applied to those future coins but not the number show in your app. am i right??

Only time will tell if and how much I made by covering project like Pi Network on my channel. In the end, I only make money (besides the general KZread revenue) IF the people that signed up also made money (= Pi succeeds and has a decent value).

Good question. I assume that's mentioned in the updated new about the mainnet launch, but I had no time to dig into this so far. Probably the boost is valid for the entire lockup periods and ends once the lockup ends.

If you are readingthis cooment then we should atleast lock 90% of our pi this will create shortage of pi supply and directlt increase the value.

Exactly... while that sucks, it's also on you for not carefully reading the provided information before confirming your lock up settings. Lock at the bright side, once your coins become available there should also be more usecases for them already.

Let’s say you mined 2000 pi tokens. You make a lookup settings of 90% for 3 years. So you have only 200 tokens you can use. Let’s say the 3 years is up and you decide to use the same settings for another 3 years. Is the second settings you made going to to affect your whole balance or the extra coins you mined from the first lookup settings you made?

So what I understand from this is that the amount of coins that I have right now will be locked according to how much I choose to be locked and then I cannot use that amount of coins for the period I locked them but I will eventually get them back after that locked period ends. As for the coins that are not verified, we cannot lock them but will we be able to use them when pi coin launches in the market?

The unverified coins will turn "verified" once your referrals and/or security circle members pass KYC. Those will then be transferred to your mainnet wallet and locked up as well using your latest lockup settings. You can change your lockup settings at any time, so you could configure a 90% 3-year lockup now, and then once that happens change the settings to 50% and 2-weeks, for example. Then your first batch of coins would be locked up according to the initial settings and all coins that you receive later (as your referrals keep passing KYC) would be locked up using the new setting.

Nope, if it's already migrated than the lockup is set like this and there is nothing you can do about it.

The lockup effects how many of you coins get locked when when they are transferred to your mainnet wallet.

You just have to wait a bit and KYC will show up for everyone.

My transferrable Pi balance have been transferred to the mainnet after my KYC verification but the ones i am mining now are still in the transferrable balance. Why didn't it move to mainnet directly since my KYC has already been verified?

Migrations aren't automated yet so you have to wait until the team triggers the next migration manually. No way to know when exactly that is going to happen.

No. Changes only effect future lockups.

Sorry, my video schedule is already full for the next couple of weeks. I'll look into different use cases for Pi once the mainnet launches, until then there isn't much point to it IMHO.

You can try - see kzread.info/dash/bejne/dn9h16ptqLG0j7w.html - but I think you can only change it after the first migration happened (if you already saved some setting).

During the lockup duration can I use them if Pi launch ? e.g now I did the lockup configuration 100% for 3 years, in the further maybe 5 months or 1 year letter it launch to the market, then can I change the setting and make them active for purpose of exchange/use them ?

No, please carefully read the descriptions in the Mainnet and Lockup sections of the app since they explain in detail what the lockup means.

I thought about it for a long time and decided to go with 90% for three years. IF Pi succeeds those Pi should be worth a lot more then and if not I still have at least 10% to use right now (assuming there are some interesting usecases at launch).

Christian, useful info. Is it some kind MLM scheme? Is it the more people join under me the bigger bonus or reward I get? Do I have to set up a group? Will you advise? Thanks

No. Wouldn't be much of a lockup if you could just end it early. You can only change the lockup settings for future migrations.
