1 a) Physical change b) chemical change c) chemical change d) physical change 2 cooking of food is a chemical change because new substances are formed when food is cooked. Also it is an irreversible change. 3 during physical changes no new substance is formed whereas during chemical changes new substances with entirely new properties are formed. Physical changes are reversible whereas chemical changes are irreversible. There is usually no change of mass during a physical change whereas in a chemical changes there is generally a change in mass

Q1.a)Physical Change b)Chemical Change c)Chemical Change d)Physical Change Q2.Cooking of food is a 'Chemical Change' because, the process cannot be reversed as well as a new substance is formed by combing all the components. Q3.3 differences between Chemical changes and Physical Changes are:- i)Chemical changes cannot be reversed whereas, Physical changes are generally reversible. ii)Chemical changes always result in the formation of a new substance whereas, Physical changes do not result in the formation of new substances. iii)In Chemical changes, the mass of the substance generally changes but in Physical changes, the mass of the substance remains constant.

    Q. 1. (a)Physical as nothing new is formed. (b)Chemical as the chemical properties are changed (c)Chemical as by respiration we break the food by oxygen and form glucose , carbon dioxide and water with ATP molecules so something new is formed that's why it is a chemical process. (d)As only the physical properties of it are changed (i.e. Shape here ) Q. 2. Cooking is a chemical process as something new is formed in this process. Q. 3. 1.Physical changes are usually irreversible and chemical changes are always reversible. 2.New substances are formed in a chemical change and no new substances are formed in a physical change. 3. In a Chemical change more energy is released than a physical change .

q1 a physical change because we can bring it back to room temparature by cooling it so its reversible and no new substance is formed b chemical change because rusting of iron is an irreversible change and a new substance 'rust" is formed c respiration is a chemical change. Oxygen is taken during the respiration, the output should be also the oxygen in order to make it a physical change. ... That's why it is considered as a chemical reaction where the initial compound is oxygen and final compound is carbon dioxide. dCutting of wood is a physical change because only physical property of wood is changed and no new substance is formed. the properties of wood remains the same. Q2 Cooking of food is a chemical process since it involves changes in the chemical composition of food. Heating food at high temperature and adding additives such as oil, butter, baking powder etc results in the breaking down of chemical substances present in food and formation of new chemical substances. Q3physical changes are reversible and no new substance is formed while chemical changes are irreversible and new substance is formed physical changes are temporary while chemical changes are permanant the mass of a substance which is reversible[physical changes] usually remains same mass of substance which is irreversible [chemical changes] usually changes THANKS A LOT FOR HELPING ME LEARN VERY EASILY

Sir Q1 answer is i) boiling of water to form steam is a physical change. passing of electric current, through water and the water breaking down into hydrogen and oxygen gases is a chemical change. ii) The rusting of iron is a chemical change because it is two substances reacting together to make a new substance. Rusting would only be a physical change if iron molecules remained pure iron throughout the process. iii) it is a chemical change because it is taking in oxygen and utilizing it to release energy as energy is released so it is a chemical change. whereas breathing is a physical change as it is just taking in oxygen. iv) Cutting of trees is a chemical change since all chemical reactions stop and we cannot get back the original tree from the wooden peacesMelting of butter in a pan is a physical change since there is no change in the chemical composition of butter, only the physical state changes from solid to liquid. Q2answer Cooking of food is a chemical process since it involves changes in the chemical composition of food. Heating food at high temperature and adding additives such as oil, butter, baking powder etc results in the breaking down of chemical substances present in food and formation of new chemical substances. Q3answer Sl. No. Differentiating Property Physical Change Chemical Change 1 Explanation In a physical change, the molecules are rearranged while their actual composition remains same. In a chemical change, the molecular composition of a substance completely changes and a new substance is formed. 2 Example Some example of physical change are freezing of water, melting of wax, boiling of water, etc. A few examples of chemical change are digestion of food, burning of coal, rusting, etc. 3 Reversibility Physical change is easily reversible i.e original substance can be recovered. Chemical change is irreversible i.e. original substance cannot be recovered.

ANSWER 1 :(a) Boiling of water is a physical change as if we boil that water in a container it will have the same mass as it had before boiling. (b)Rusting of iron is chemical change as new substance is formed from iron (i.e. Iron oxide is formed). (c) Respiration is a chemical change as new substances are formed (i.e. energy, water, carbon-dioxide ) from The breaking down of glucose from oxygen. (d) Cutting of wood is a physical change as no new substance is formed in the cutting of this wood but it is an Exceptional case like breaking of glass which can cannot be reversed similarly this also cannot be reversed but No new substance is formed which is more important therefore it is a physical change. ANSWER 2 :Cooking of food is a chemical change as new substances are formed from the raw Ingredients and it cannot be reversed, therefore it is a chemical change. ANSWER 3 : (1)Physical changes are reversible such as boiling of water , melting of ice cubes whereas chemical changes are irreversible.such as cooking of food, digestion of food. (2)New substances are formed in a chemical change such as when we cook food from raw ingredients we get some delicious food which is not as the ingredients whereas no new substances are formed in Physical changes such as cutting of wood. (3) Physical changes are usually temporary whereas chemical changes are permanent. BTW sir you are an awesome teacher you teach the subject of science the best in whole youtube Thanku for your such a great help.and never stop from making such amazing videos. Q1: a) Boiling of water - Physical change b) Rusting of iron - Chemical change c) Respiration - Chemical change d) Cutting of wood - Physical change Q2: Cooking of food is a chemical change. When food is cooked, chemical reactions occur, such as the Maillard reaction, which changes the composition and properties of the food, leading to the formation of new substances with different chemical compositions and properties. Q3: 1. Physical changes do not involve the formation of new substances, while chemical changes do. 2. Physical changes usually involve changes in state or appearance, while chemical changes involve changes in chemical composition. 3. Physical changes are usually reversible by physical means (such as melting, freezing, or dissolving), while chemical changes are often irreversible or require specific chemical reactions to reverse.

    1. boiling of water is a physical change rusting of iron is a chemical change respiration is a chemical change cutting of wood is a physical change 2. Yes, because the mixing of ingredients form new substances. 3. physical change does not form any new substances, change in the state of matter, mass of the substance does not change chemical change does form new substances, reacts, mass of the substance usually changes
