Picked my box up today, in Edmonton, Alberta. I'm embarrassed with the amount of foil and plain mythics, 9 in total. Pulled 4 out of 5 Twighlights. The List cards totalled 10. 7 Plane's Walkers. It didn't feel natural to get what we pulled. We were looking at the Commons and Uncommons stacks, it was actually even. Never seen that before. Also my daughter pulled Norn and she couldn't speak, just shocked. Really like the foiling on this deck, not as flashy, but it makes the images glow, instead of shiny. Not one of these in the Japanese prints are curing, see how they hold up over time

The Magic Mini Games aren't so bad when they also serve a purpose. I am glad to see there is a token on the other side now. Yeah, a crazy amount of Mythics. Awesome pulls

I'm waiting for a couple of compleat edition bundles and except Norn also looking for a sword. I opened 2 of them in previous Mirrodin's sets so it would be fascinating to get this one from booster too.

Update- I got a Junji Ito art variant from a collector booster

That box was loaded !

I also hit all the same plans walker

They did do a Box Topper but it's not in the box. For Preorders, everyone at my shop who ordered a box received a Borderless Green Sun's Twilight.

I've been wanting to collect MTG Cards for a while but I don't know where to begin. None of my friends collect or play MTG but I really like the artwork and dabble at MTGA. If I were to begin collecting, do I go for the newest set to be released i.e March of The Machine or a set that's at least covered under Standard or do I go back to 2020 when Zendikar Rising and D&D Sets were released? Zen and D&D were the first cards I'd used in a Red/Green Mixed deck on MTGA...

If your goal is purely to collect, you want to pick up cards you like. You can buy the individual cards from your local game store or online (TCGPlayer, if you're in the US). You might focus on certain types of cards (Planeswalkers and Amonkhet Invocations are my thing), cards with artwork by artists you like, or cards with a certain theme. If you're also looking to play, visit the Scryfall.com Advanced search and look at what is available in your format of choice. Browsing the sets on MythicSpoiler.com is also fun. If you're into Commander, picking up a preconstructed deck that sounds fun is a good way to start. Opening packs is the most expensive way to go, but fun, and you'll get a wide variety of cards (mostly commons & uncommons). It all boils down to collecting what you like!
