I like the effect on the skin. I did a book cover series years ago for my portfolio for a mystery book series. I used my face and overtime I didn’t really want to have my face in my portafolio so I took them out of it. 😂 But I think I’m going to go back and edit it to give the skin a similar effect as in the tutorial- for my own practice and fun,

Love your channel BTW. BUt i tried this and I got stuck on the gradient map. The color is very dark.🥺

Set blend mode to Hue (saw this on the video and it worked for me).

I’m an old CS6 user and recently upgraded. I am confounded by the new version’s Preset Manager (or lack of it). There are only 2 categories = Tools and Curves! What happened to Patterns an Brushes?

Go to Window > Patterns. Click the icon at the upper, right of the Patterns panel and click "Legacy Patterns". Same steps for the Brushes.

@@BLTV_Photoshop thanks Marty, this helps. However, I do not understand why Adobe would take away a feature (a one-stop management window for all presets) and make it less efficient, breaking it up into separate management systems.

It amazes me as well. At the time I started my channel in 2011, there was less than a handful of Photoshop channels, so consequently, I received tons of views and subscribers for many years. My videos are getting a fraction of the attention they once had maybe due to the result of KZread's algorithm. I'm at a loss.
