Monica was such a standout in this film, her acting, her powers, her growth everything was just perfect imo. Such a great comic interpretation of the character! I also feel like Marvel doesn’t get enough credit for their superpower choreography. It’s something that so many other superhero/ magic films and shows are lacking. For example Wanda’s iconic finger articulations, Dr. Stranger’s gestures, even Monica’s stances when she uses her light beams to name a few. Compare that to X Men: Dark Phoenix (or any of the xmen films for that matter) and you’ll see what I mean.

The movie had some great fight scenes though

Her power usage was so cool in the film, as was Kamala's! It's a shame Carol's abilities were used so un-creatively by comparison.

Monica owed her powers to Wanda, because by entering and exiting the "hex field" Wanda created during the events of WandaVision, Monica got her cellullar structure completely rewritten by Wanda's "chaos magic" and gained her "light based powers"

@@_Spectrum_288 like previously mentioned. She wouldn’t have been photon without Wanda. If anything, she at least owes wanda protection or some sort of relationship bringing them together rather than becomes strangers because she has powers now and has her own duties

I love superheroes with powers that require a lot of intelligence to use properly. I also love that Marvel makes it really obvious when a child is a future superhero. Adult Monica is exactly what I expected after meeting her as a child.

I gotta say Monica is a very great character with a good attitude that reminds me of early marvel type vibes. And it’s funny becuz in The marvels she was the one mostly landing the blows on Dar Benn

Nope she is in another X men universe or it can be true that she is from that universe from. Where Wolverine will be cuz in MCU wolverine and Deadpool are from different universe but TVA will send Deadpool on mission in another universe where he will meet wolverine I think that is same universe which was shown in THE MARVELS and Monica will help Deadpool or Deadpool help monica to get out of that universe

I’d like to believe her powers were innate and after going through Wanda’s hex fields multiple times sort of “sparked” her mutation in a way.

She might be able to absorb Storm's electricity but air is something she breathes which is also one of Storm's powers ​and a weakness to Monica in regular form@@_Spectrum_288

@@Ssenikrum I don't really think she has a higher advantage. In energy form Monica can't really be harmed by neither physical or energy based attacks. Plus Monica is most likely faster in flight while Storm needs the wind to levitate.
