This is great! Do you have any advice on shooting double-sided etched glass (example: emblem or quote on both sides of glass) on a white background? I can't seem to get a clear shot without the back emblem coming through. Thanks!
Thanks David! Excellent job! very simple trick. Is it the same way we can take photo of a transparent plastic bag which I am trying to do for last couple of days but had the same light reflection problem.
Super
Hi, thanks for the great tips. How would you shoot a overhead shot of a very reflective stainless steal spoon please?
Thanks for that. Any suggestions for a tripod / kit for taking process videos with a mobile phone from above or an angle while creating glass pieces to be fired in a kiln?

🤩
hi thankyou so much, can you spell the black foam c...… I couldn't get the word right when ebaying, cork, or core neither got me what I needed, thanks in advance x
Hey budd, quick question. How can I get a better view of the reflection took off of a wine glass? 🤔
how do you best clean the glasses for photographing, to leae no finger prints/smears, as I ifnd, especially when on black backgorund evrything is more visable. Thanks in advance.
What about etched glass? Thank you 🤗
Been trying to take photo with my phone of pendant which has a rounded glass. Colors are not coming out true and there is a reflection of me in the photo. I spent about an hour last night and finally got the black to show up as black but there is a little reflection of light on one side that can be removed in photoshop. Any suggestions from anyone?
I’m just curious is there anyway to take a panoramic picture of a painting on drinking glass
That was really helpful, not to practice :-)
David, how would you go about photographing a glass that is etched, to show the engraving. Oh and happy new year...

How I can get the same result with my speedlight
What about transparent packaging??
My problem is that the top rim of the glass isn't really visible. The black flag over the glass does exactly 0 work
what if it had wine in it?

sbarronmd Will still work but dilute the wine with some water so it’s a bit lighter.
I think that you should learn how to place the light when filming people with reflective glasses………
Dk
Kinda skipped over the black background explanation buddy....
