Photographing glass studio lighting
How to make a graduated highlight.
In this video I take you step by step through the process of lighting a glass bottle to produce a graduated highlight.
I will demonstrate how to use the displacement filter in photoshop to distort an image as if photographed through wobbly glass.
How to make a subject appear to be inside a glass bottle.
Then how to produce an image of the same bottle to use as a displacement map in photoshop.
How to light a subject to appear inside the bottle.
Finally, how to put all the elements together in photoshop to produce a finished image of the subject in the bottle appearing with all the distortion introduced by the glass of the bottle.
Everything is covered from the studio lighting using studio flash, through the tethered capture in Capture one software, to the final image in Adobe Photoshop.
I'll use a Canon DSLR, tethered into Capture one software to show you how to capture your subject from basic image to completed photograph.

Thanks for tutorial Video, can we use round light soft boxes, instead of using rectangular and square shaped soft boxes. Is there any impact from the shapes?

Yes, but the shape of the soft box affects the shape of the highlight you see this in Portrait photography in the high light in the eyes. Thanks for watching.
Please can give more information about the displacement and why and how. Apologise but I'm a bit slow learner. Thanks in advance.

The displacement distorts the image to give the effect of viewing through the glass of the bottle.
Your techniques are ok however your composition is much to be desired.
