I think it will trap more mosquitoes if you DON'T BLOCK THE AIRFLOW by placing tapes at the bottom!

Well the bottom is also blocked by the ground so I think the flow isnt too bad

@@Theletters94 There are also some vents on the side of the bottom, so it doesn't matter that it's placed on the floor. Adding tape is stupid.

Yeah, for air to move there has to be an intake and an outlet. Basic principles of airflow... If the designers of the device meant for it to have sticky tape blocking airflow, they would have designed that way... 🤣

I ordered 2 of them and it works great. Some uses the wrong UV frequentie but these are really working. Very quiet also. Today suddenly the leds of one of them didn't work anymore. I treid to repair bit there is someyhing wrong with te connections from the little pcb. I replaced the smd leds by normal 5 mm UV leds and it fits perfect. Everything was prepared by the factory to use these "normal" leds. Now it works perfect with a little more UV light. If interested i can show some picters with the value of the resitor and the number of led',s i used.

I made my own with same principle. DIY. Do not open the container at least 48 hours to let insects die drying. Usually clean every 3-6 months and left some insects inside, hehe for attractive others insects to look at their friend

I think the main issue with these is that they primarily catch non-biting insects.

It’s kind off not working, i’ve been sitting next to it hours and still i got a lot of mosquitoes bites

You should have checked how many of those insects are actually mosquitoes...

Sure they’ll catch mosquitoes, any bug trap can do that. Does it deter them from biting you if you sit next to it? Say you are hanging out on your deck and you run that badboy, will the mosquitoes still be pests? or would they be attracted to the light/fan and away from you?

Put double sided tape in the bottom and f**k up the airflow ..

Maybe next time you can do a review that lasts for a few days instead of a few hours. Possibly a little for thought too, like will it work longer then just a day? Does this work inside the home? Battery usage and whether it turns on for a day is pretty superficial

when you sit on your deck though (while this device is running) - do you notice a difference in the bugs not being attracted to you and going for the trap? or does it not make a perceived difference?

Its probably best for rooms. I doubt this thing will distract a mosquito before it comes for you.

I would like to ask something I've seen this product on eBay for quiet cheap price not expensive but at the same time when you open the lid cover for that machine some of the Flys are alive isn't not supposed to be killing the Flys over the night because you left it overnight at that's why I don't understand some of them still alive.

Let them dry out fully😂😂nice way of saying it.

Can you hang it?

Leds did not work, fan was working. Circuit analysis revealed only one series resistor for 6 parallel leds. This is not good design practice. I cut the printed positive voltage line on the PCB to check individual leds: one was shorted and took all the current from the supply. 5 remaining leds with an individual series resistor of 330 ohm solved the problem. Why trying to save on resistors? They cost almost nothing.

I bought one the light comes on but the fan isn't spinning. I wanna know if the fan supposed to spin all the time or it only spin when it catches them?

Did you just block with tape the exhaust at the bottom? You're blocking the air exit. 😂 Test it again without the tape. 😁

After while all lights were gone but I never used it upside down

Put some double sided tape at the bottom and that'll hold them in and kill them.

They promote it has a 368nm UV, but when tested it returns only 401nm. It's a FAKE

That's all well and good, but apparently these things kill more than mosquitoes, so that's a ton of flies, moths, and blood sucking spiders you'll have to burn. Be careful not to burn the neighborhood down. 😂

The Fan makes to much noise for bedroom.

Ordered this and it is BROKEN. When I plug it in, the LEDs turn on but the fan doesn’t…it’s a terrible product and waste of money

This product does not work indoors. Doesn't catch any mosquitoes what so ever. I had kill the mosquito myself because it wouldn't let me sleep. Disappointed. I noticed that the bugs you caught were not all mosquitos as well.
